Research On Karl Marx's Productive Labor Theory And Its Development In Contemporary Era

The theory of productive labor is an important component of Marx's economic theory, and this theory occupies a very important position in his system of economic theory. It has been a hot issue for discussion in Academic from 1960s to the early 21st century. In this article, I have a root research about the historical background in which the Marx's productive labor theory has produced, make a systematic arrangement about the productive labor theory's evolution from the mercantilism to the Marxism, collate the process which began to study Marx's productive labor theory to the final completion of the theory, and elaborate Marx's productive labor theory. According to the study about the Marx's productive labor theory, this article holds that Marx's productive labor theory consists of three main aspects:First, the ordinary productive labor in the simple production process; Second, the productive labor under the conditions of the commodity economy; Third, the productive labor under the conditions of capitalism. Though these three aspects scattered among the writings of Marx, in fact, these three areas is an organic whole, and constitute the Marx's theoretical system about the productive labor.Marx's productive labor theory keeps on advancing and developing. This theory has an important theoretical and practical significance for contemporary China:It could help to deepen the understanding for the productive labor of the primary stage of socialism, to recognize and succeed the excellent quality of advancing with the times of Marxism, to build a harmonious socialist society, and to promote the sustainable development of Chinese economy. With the social progress and development, Marx's productive labor theory is also faced with various problems. In this article, I analyze the misunderstanding about the Marx's productive labor theory from the traditional theory and analyze affections which are produced by the social development, then, find the following countermeasures:First, we should work to deepen the connotation and expand the extension of the labor in theory; Second, we should innovate and develop the Marx's productive labor theory in our socialist practice. A scientific theory must be a theory of advancing with the times, so we should persist, develop and innovate Marx's productive labor theory, in order to keep it adapting to the continuous progress of history, fulling of vigor, and guiding Chinese socialist construction.
