Research On The Mechanism And The Effect Of The Interaction Between Cities Based On The Field Theory

The interactions between cities are mainstream research topic. Based on econophysics theories and research methods from the field theory perspective by use of the thoughts, theories and models of electromagnetic field, it builds models and theories of the city-field, which discusses the mechanism and the effect of the interaction between cities, and opens a new view of the interaction study between cities, and expands this field study methods and gets the deeper research result.Spatial and temporal scales of the interactions between cities are known as the city field, in which cities constantly interacts and are affected. Developing and changing city produce city quantity field, which is similar to electric field and city quality field and the magnetic field. The city is affected by city quantity field, which is similar to electric field and city quality field, and similar to magnetic field. Interactions between city quantity field and city quality field affect the development of urban economy.The city quantity field strength has positive effect on the quantity field intensity factor and the city's economy equivalent, and has negative effect on the economic distance between cities. Due to different factors of the city quantity field, the directions of the force of interaction between the two cities are opposite, but they vary in size. Compared to the current many same size research results, it is considered to be more realistic and enhances the explanatory power of the model. City quantity field can affect the quantity of urban economic development.The city quality field induction has positive effect on the economic flow, economic radius and city quality field factors of field source city, and has negative effect on economic distance of the point of the field strength to the city of the field source. Because the city quality field strength is perpendicular to the speed of economic development, which can only change the direction of the city economic development, and it can not change the size of economic development, which means that it can change the quantity of the city's economic development without changing the quality of the city's economic development.The city quantity field and city quality field stimulate each other to produce city wave. Hypothesis 2: Accelerating development of a city can inhibit the other city's development in a closed city regional condition. Hypothesis 3:If both cities'function complements, the accelerating development of a city can push the other city's development.Inference 1:The inner city will hinder the industry development strength while the city accelerating the industry development in a closed city regional condition. Inference 2:City A accelerates the industry development can hinder the same industry development of city B in a closed city regional condition. Inference 3:The leagues of both functional convergence cities produce more inner resistance than the sum of each city individually achieves the same degree of development. That is the higher of both cities function convergence, and the lower of cities coordination effect. Inference 4:Under the condition of both cities'function complement, if city A's industry A and city B's industry B complement, city A accelerating industry A development push city B's industry B development. Inference 5:The leagues made by both function complement cities produce inner resistance smaller than the sum of each city individually achieves the same degree of development. That is the higher of both cities function complement, and the better of cities coordination effect.The city quantity field factors, quality field factors, city quantity field strength and city quality field strength of interaction between cities of Chendu city, Chongqing city, Mianyang city and Deyang city are calculated from 2009 to 2013.In the case of Chengdu city, Chongqing city, Mianyang city and Deyang city, experience proves the three hypotheses and five inferences. In Chengdu city, Chongqing city, Mianyang city and Deyang city respectively as examples, it verifies Hypothesis 1 to exist in the four cities'economic growth. Taking Mianyang city and Deyang city as an example, it proves Hypothesis 2 to exist in two city economic growth. In case of Chengdu city and Mianyang city, Chengdu city and Deyang city respectively, it verifies Hypothesis 3 to exist in both pairs of cities economic growth. Taking electronic information and food industry in Chendu city as an example, it proves Inference 1 to be really exist. It verifies Inference 2 to exist in electronic information industry development in Chendu city and Chongqing city. It proves Inference 3 to exist Mianyang city and Deyang city. It proves Inference 4 to exist in electronic information industry and food industry development in Chengdu city and Mianyang city. In the case of Chengdu city and Mianyang city, it verifies Inference 5 to exist.Based on the validated hypotheses and inferences, the paper concludes the practical and guiding policy.
