A Strategic Approach On Rural And Urban Development Toward Quality Healthy Cities

World Health Organization estimated that 61% of the world's population will live in cities within a decade which generated the research motivation and background.Densely populated cities consume huge amout of natural resources and bring pollution.No country can isolate itself from solving problems on ecosystem,environment,life,health and security.This dissertation illustrated the evolution of community development,the connection between the urban and rural and the promotion of health cities.Case study of Hsinchu County Government clarified how the local government took actions to reverse its severe financial situation.The government commited to catalyze the redevelopment of both existing and future industries and to establish health cities.The study conducted depth interview collecting representatives from various professional fields.Each of them contributed valuable comments and views on critical success factors of health cities.Firstly,this research concluded that how Hsinchu County planned its health city strategy had provided with absolute necessity and urgency which was in consistency with the universally prevailing of health cities in other countries.Secondly,Hsinchu County constructed health city on the power of prefectural self-involvement from each township.The whole project merged the entire policy,economic,social and technological layout that reflected feasibility and practicality.Thirdly,Hsinchu County took great advantages on the International Green Energy Intelligence Park,the Biological Park,the International Science and Technology Park for Cultural and Creative industry,tourism industry and refined leisure agriculture to bring best interests for the people.Finally,Hsinchu County revealed the future plan of Cloud Health City demonstrating the blue ocean vision of age-friendly city,cloud health city and intelligent city.The council government aimed to build a benchmarking city,which covers hope,bright,science and technology city and intended to create senior-livable as well as helathy environment.Moreover,Hsinchu County devoted to achieve innovative strategy and leading goal of the well-being city through sustainable improvement,permanent development and high-quality outcomes.
