Modern sciences were born in China on behalf of the scientific spreading practice.The development of Chinese modern sciences was inseparable from the spread of modern sciences. In a certain sense, China's modern science is not the inheritance of Chinese traditional science, but the result of the spread of Western science, and the important contributions of Chinese modern scientists are mainly reflected in their promotion of modern science spreading.As a renowned chemist, translator and educator, Zheng Zhenwen is the pioneer of Chinese modern science spreading, whose contributions in the field of the spread and localization of modern science made a major influence on the development and spread of Chinese Modern science, and he made great efforts in standardized medias of the spread of science, modernization, popularization and professionalization of the spread of science, institutionalization of scientific spread of science and modernization of scientific education, which have promoted the formation of the Chinese modern scientific spirits and traditions and affected the world outlook, values and ways of thinking of the people in modern society.Zheng Zhenwen has done a lot of pioneering work in the nomenclature, validation and unification of chemical terms and is in long-term participation in the practice of the work, and he creatively put forward the general principles of "strictness, simplicity and systematization" in the nomenclature of chemical terms and the specific principles of the nomenclature of the element name, organic and inorganic chemistry terms. Zheng Zhenwen also compiled a lot of popular science books and created science plays, his popular science writing had played an important role in the spread and popularization of the natural science culture of 1920-1930s.The scientific community is the organizational form of scientific development of a certain extent, is the performance of professionalism of science spreading, and also a mark of the the maturity of scientist groups. Cheng Chen Wen actively joined the practice of China Arts Society and Chinese Chemical Society, involved in creating and launching the Chinese Arts Society and the Chinese Chemical Society, in charge of magazine of "Xue Yi", involved in the construction of the journal of Chinese Chemical Society, founded the University of Xue Yi and its library, organized annual meetings of Chinese chemical Society, and he played an important role in promoting the development of discipline, unity of the scientific community, promoting international exchanges, popularization of chemical education and the spread of scientific culture."Education saves the nation" is the pursuit of Chinese Arts Society, and is Zheng Zhenwen's lifetime dream. Science education is throughout in the scientific culture's practice of Cheng Chen Wen. He devoted himself to science education for a long-term. He had done preparatory work for the establishment of Xiamen University as early as the year of 1920 with Tan Kak Kee, Deng Cuiying et al, and from 1921 to 1932, Zheng Zhenwen promoted the development of modern education by compiling science textbooks and other means in Commercial Press. Especially his eleven years as director general of the Department of Education of Fujian province, Cheng Chenwen pushed for science education, collected education financing, enhanced education equipment, improved the education system, and established the Science Museum to promote the popularization of science and scientific research, which played a positive role in the modernization of science education and promoted the institutionalization of science spreading paths.
