| With the rapid development of the global economy,energy and environmental issues become increasingly prominent.Construction as one of the four pillar industries of China’s national economy,to a great extent,stimulates the development of the economy.But the construction is also a high energy consumption and high carbon emission industry in China,the rapid development in the construction industry also consumes a lot of energy and brought huge amounts of carbon emissions to the environment.So the study of energy efficiency of construction industry as well as energy and environmental efficiency under carbon dioxide emissions constraints have important significance for achieving energy saving and emission reduction targets of China.Based on the practical problems of energy saving of the construction industry,this paper adopts Super Efficiency-SBM and Super Efficiency-SBM(Undesirable output)model to and the energy environmental efficiency of China’s construction industry,combining life cycle analysis(LCA)and data envelopment analysis(DEA).The dynamic analysis of the life cycle energy economy efficiency and the energy environmental efficiency of China’s construction industry is also made by Malmquist index.The results show that from a regional perspective,the eastern area is the main source of CO2 emission of the entire lifecycle of the construction industry.From the perspective of the entire life cycle,the CO2 emission of the construction industry mainly comes from building materials production stage and operation stage.And from the point of energy use,raw coal is main source of CO2 emission of construction industry.The ratio of clean energy used is low,and the task of the conversion of energy consumption structure is still serious.The results of the static analysis of energy efficiency show that the life cycle energy environmental of China’s construction industry is lower than the life cycle energy economy efficiency.From regional level,energy environment efficiency and energy economic efficiency descend from east to west,and the rate of CO2 impact on energy efficiency decrease from west to east.The results of the dynamic analysis of energy efficiency show that the mean of Malmquist index of energy economic efficiency and energy environment efficiency of China’s 30 provinces and cities in 2004-2013 are greater than 1.The Malmquist index of energy economic efficiency and energy environment efficiency are basically identical,but the Malmquist index of energy environment efficiency is slightly larger than the Malmquist index of energy economic efficiency.The contribution of technical change to the Malmquist index is greater than technical efficiency change.This shows the life cycle energy efficiency improvement of China’s construction industry is mainly due to technological progress during 2004-2013.The Malmquist index of energy economic efficiency and energy environment efficiency and the rate of CO2 impact on Malmquist index decrease from west to east,decrease from west to east.This study provides a new analytical perspective for evaluating the energy efficiency of construction industry,and provides decision-making basis for setting differentiated energy-saving targets for construction related departments,which help realize sustainable and healthy development of China’s construction industry. |
