Agricultural machinery industry cluster is the vital engine in terms of promoting the industrial competencies and developing regional economy.Researches over the formation mechanism,evolution mechanism and sustainable development path of agricultural industry clusters are imperative,which show both reference value and practical significance for highlighting the scale advantages and brand effects,increasing international competencies of Chinese agricultural machinery enterprises and providing references to the governmental cluster development strategies.First of all,this paper integrates and analyzes the relevant literature related to the agricultural machinery industry.By summarizing the current development status of domestic and foreign agricultural machinery industry,this paper excavates the specific characteristics and spatial structure of Chinese agricultural machinery industry cluster.Then,based on regional development theory,growth pole theory and social network theory,this paper analyzes the basic and environmental conditions for forming agricultural machinery industrial cluster.Combining the results of questionnaire and factor analysis,a block diagram of influencing factors on the formation of agricultural machinery cluster is constructed,which composed of 18 influencing factors.And among those 18 influencing factors,cluster radiation effect,innovation environment,regional environment,industrial factor and industry cooperation are five main factors.Based on the industrial cluster life cycle evolution theory and exponential growth model,we segments the development of Chinese agricultural machinery industry cluster into four stages:formation stage,growth stage,mature stage and recession stage.Each stage representing its specific evolution mechanism and characteristics.Four kinds of identification and evaluation methods are respectively applied to the agricultural machinery industry clusters in Shandong,including location quotient method,GESS model evaluation method,analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy mathematics evaluation method.Results show that agricultural machinery industry clusters in Shandong are still in the growth stage.By adopting the system dynamics method and Vensim modeling tools,this paper analyses the dynamic factors for sustainable development of agricultural machinery industry cluster and builds a cluster sustainable development power system flow chart,which integrates regional economic input dynamic factor,market demand dynamic factor and technological innovation dynamic factor.By taking the agricultural machinery industry cluster in Shandong as an example,results of simulation analysis and sensitivity test show that the innovation power significantly influences the sustainability of agricultural machinery industry cluster.Furthermore,the impact of fixed asset investment on the development of Shandong agricultural machinery industry cluster has been verified to be greater than that of international market sales growth in the paper.Finally,based on the cluster formation mechanism and evolution mechanism,this paper explores a"trinity" drive path to a sustainable development of agricultural machinery industry cluster,which combines endogenous drive,exogenous promotion and basic support.In the meanwhile,this paper points out some potential countermeasures for the sustainable development of Chinese agricultural machinery industry cluster,including reinforcing the government support,enhancing the agricultural intermediary service system,strengthening the infrastructure construction and paying attention to the high-quality human capital.
