Today,the only constant is change,which has been deeply recognized by the people.Enterprises as the main body of economic development,effective means to respond to the dynamic and complex environment,are to implement strategic change.Some companiescan change their strategies in time to adapt to the environment;others fail to make timely strategic changes or fail to make the right strategic changes.These phenomena reveal that enterprises need to implement the sustainable strategic change to seek development.Overview of existing research on strategic change,there are two schools of the content and the process of strategic change theory.Because researchers have different research purposes and concerns;it is inconsistent,without integration within and between the two schools of research.So far,there is no consistent,systematic and dynamic guidance framework for"cause-process-consequences" of corporate strategic change.Because both schools aren't to explore the process of strategic change and system dynamics within the organizationHow to achieve innovative development through strategic change?How to overcome Path-Dependence?How the mutation mechanism to stronger?These problems have become the focus of the research on strategic change.It points the way for this study by organized abandonment.Just start with "methodically,systematically weeding out outdated,decayed,old things";companies can avoid "genetic predominance" in organizations.Only"turn unrealistic,immature,absurd ideas into concrete innovation projects";the enterprise can realize the strong effect of the mutation mechanism.Only "create a learning atmosphere throughout the enterprise";companies can successfully implement "new strategic choices".So enterprises can correctly implement and realize the correct "heredity-mutation-selection"process by "organized abandonment---innovation project(strategic change orientation)---organizational learning".Duckers' thought points the way for this research.How to achieve sustainable change,and what's the endogenous mechanism,these questions become the focus of this research.This paper gets some enlightenment based on the research results of previous scholars.Some scholars begin to integrate the two schools,and they think that organizational learning can promote strategic change;but the endogenous mechanism of strategic change is not fully disclosed.Second,organizational memory is a double-edged sword:it can acquire,store and extract learning effects;but memory is hard to change.Organizational forgetting is a strategic abandonment that is the abandonment of some useless and misleading ideas,logic and methods of organizational memory.This paper explores endogenous mechanism of the strategic change by the organizational learning process of organizational memory and organizational forgetting.This study solves the key problem of"sustainable strategy change" by taking Duckers' organized abandonment as perspective,and combines the cause,effect and the process of strategic change;it explores the systemic,cyclical,and sustainable strategic changes based on organizational memory and organizational forgetting interaction.The purpose of this study is to build a theory of such a system of strategic change.So this paper belongs to the exploratory study of theory building.To answer the question of"how" and "why",case study is particularly effective.From the purpose of research,this study is to discover the endogenous impetus of sustainable strategic change,such problems often have the characteristics of traditional,long-term and recessive,and it needs to trace the various events that are interrelated in chronological order,so the paper uses single-case;and grounded theory make research closely linked to empirical data,so it can construct meaningful,effective and being tested theory(Glaser and Strauss).This paper will study the "sustainable strategic change" with Chinese characteristics.Therefore,this paper chooses FAW because it is a representative and typical innovation strategic change practitioner.This choice fits "Number one,two "and "extreme situation".Using case study and the three-level coding techniques of grounded theory,FAW exists the strategic change evolution path of "production-market-entrepreneur" driven by entrepreneurship.The process model of strategic change based on organized abandonment of FAW reveals:entrepreneurship is a source of motivation,endogenous mechanism of the strategic change by the organizational learning process of organizational memory and organizational forgetting.And then it's formed a independent innovation system based on organized abandonment of "entrepreneurship---organized abandonment---organizational learning---strategic change".So the entrepreneurship will break the dominant logic of backward and start a new process of innovation.This system is the system of Drucker'organized abandonment,it is systematic,dynamic and sustainable.This paper puts forward a new perspective on organized abandonment,and constructs the strategic change system based on organized abandonment,and constructs the endogenous dynamic system based on entrepreneurship,and puts forward the organizational learning process of organizational memory and organizational forgetting.This paper constructs the theory of sustainable strategic change,the basic idea is that"self-consciously innovation produces independent innovation".A systematic model of entrepreneurship,organized abandonment,organizational learning is established.The innovation strategy continues to change and evolve through the organizational learning process of organizational memory and organizational forgetting;finally,it improves the enterprise's capability of strategic change.Compared with the existing theory,this model explores the endogenous mechanism of the sustainable strategic change.The paper constructs the theoretical framework of the organic integration of "entrepreneurship +organized abandonment + organizational learning "by the integration of the content and the process school of strategic change theory.The driving force of the system is the innovation spirit rigidity which is based on entrepreneurship in the organization.So entrepreneurship promotes innovation strategic change timely upgrade.Finally,this paper gives many suggestions in the enterprise.
