A new round of industrial revolution is coming.Intelligent manufacturing is the main developing direction,and green development is the only way of manufacturing industry.Obviously,the development of intelligent manufacturing is expected to be friendly to environment and people.However,there still exist contradictions in industrial practice,for example,machine substitution may consume more energy because of the replacement of manual work,is it green?The adoption of intelligent products can improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption during their use stage,but their manufacturing and final disposal may cause serious environmental problems,how do manufacturing enterprises and customers design and optimize intelligent products?In view of these practical issues,this paper aims to do primary research on green performance assessment method of intelligent manufacturing of mechanical and electrical product,which can provide theory foundation and method support for the green performance evaluation on intelligent manufacturing practices(for example,intelligent design,production and service)of manufacturing enterprises.The main work is carried out as follows:In chapter 1,the main development direction of manufacturing industry and strict environmental constraints are summarized firstly.The requirements and difficulties concerning the environmental and social performance evaluation on intelligent manufacturing are discussed.Combined with the research status of performance evaluation on intelligent manufacturing and green manufacturing,main content and structure of this paper are given finally.In chapter 2,with mechanical and electrical product as the research object,the primary scope and objects of green performance assessment on intelligent manufacturing are summarized,and evaluation purposes and dimensions are analyzed firstly.Second,a complete green performance indicator and green degree system are given on the basis of traditional evaluation indicators.Finally,the general architecture of green performance assessment on intelligent manufacturing is constructed,which includes three dominant layers of target,method foundation and assessment process.The proposed architecture is the basis of conducting green performance assessment on intelligent manufacturing,in which direct,indirect environmental impacts,social impacts on workers and customers are considered based on the time effect,operability,collaboration and expansibility.In chapter 3,with the background of advocating intelligent design of mechanical and electrical product,four design scenarios(Design for product production,Design for product production and use,Design for product life cycle,and Design for multiple product life cycle)are proposed from the perspective of green performance assessment.Then the specific environmental and social performance assessment methods of them are researched theoretically,in which environmental problems and workers' and customers' satisfaction of multiple demands are taken into consideration.Consequently,the proposed method can support manufacturing enterprises to conduct pre-assessment on different designs,and design for environment and people.In chapter 4,with the increasing machine substitution and intelligent transformation in the stage of intelligent production,the specific environmental and social performance assessment method of intelligent production is researched,in which environmental problems and workers' satisfaction of multiple demands are taken into consideration.The proposed assessment method can support manufacturing enterprises to reasonably conduct machine substitution,and make the intelligent production friendly to environment and people.Finally,a typical industrial practice in Haier's smart refrigerator factory is used as a case for further verification and analysis.In chapter 5,with the background of advocating intelligent service,the common characteristics of various intelligent services are summarized.And then the specific environmental and social performance assessment method of intelligent service is researched,in which all the stakeholders' environmental responsibilities and satisfaction of multiple demands are considered synergistically.The proposed method can support manufacturing enterprises to conduct multiple green product services,and support supply chain members to produce and consume sustainably.In chapter 6,based on the proposed assessment architecture in chapter 2 and the specific assessment methods in three typical intelligent manufacturing stages,a prototype information system of green performance assessment of intelligent manufacturing is designed and developed.It can help intelligent manufacturing enterprises to carry out green performance assessment step by step,and to build an open platform of green and intelligent manufacturing.Finally,a remote operation and maintenance service of central air-conditioning is used as a case for verifying the proposed assessment metod in chapter 5 and demonstrating the developed information system.In chapter 7,all achievements and innovations of this paper are summarized and future direction is put forward.The development of intelligent manufacturing is still in its infancy,and it includes abundant and novel contents.The study of this paper is a preliminary exploration on the environmental and social performance of intelligent manufacturing.With the further development of intelligent manufacturing,related assessment method will become completer and more efficient.
