Research On Evaluation And Planning Application Of Public Outdoor Activity Fields In Communities On Aging Adaptability

Public outdoor activity fields in communties(POAFC)are very beneficial for the elderly by providing the near,free outdoor activity space to improve their health and increase social interaction.With the deepening of aging in China,the elderly demand more and more POAFC.Although the government has issued a lot of policies to support the construction of POAFC,but at present,there are still problems in its construction,the most important is that less consideration of the needs of elderly activists and lack of aging adaptability.How to make the planning and design of POAFC more suitable for the elderly has become a widespread concern and urgent problem to be solved.Aging adaptable planning and design for POAFC should be based on accurate and objective evaluation.This research begins with objective environmental characteristics of POAFC and outdoor activities of the elderly.On the basis of the theories of subculture of the elderly,P-E fit theory and the first law of geography,and from community holistic perspective,it constructs a research framework of POAFC aging adptability from aging adptability evaluation to planning and design.The core of this research framework is POAFC aging adptability evaluation model,which is composed of two sub-models,namely,POAFC internal attraction submodel and POAFC external connectivity sub-model.The former one represents the number of non-dimensional elderly activities who came to the fields by thier attraction.The latter one expresses the actual total travel intentions of the elderly in community affected by the factors such as walkability,residential pattern and so on.All the internal attraction factors that can influence the elderly in outdoor activities are screened out,and the corresponding quantitative methods are put forward.Based on the relevant investigation information of the elderly outdoor activities in the case community,POAFC internal attraction sub-model is fitted and tested.Through statistical test and model extrapolation ability test,it is proved this sub-model has good goodness of fit and extrapolation prediction ability,which can be widely used.The model also reveals the significant impact factors and their impact degree on aging adaptability.Based on the relevant information of outdoor activities of the elderly in the case community,POAFC external connectivity sub-model is fitted and tested.The results show that the fitted piecewise model can well integrate the factors such as walkability,old population distribution,residential pattern and so on.It not only fully depicts the attenuation law of the walking distance of the elderly with POAFC as the destination,but also quantifies the influence of the residential pattern and population distribution of the elderly on the general travel intention,thereupon then reveals the influence mechanism of various factors on the aging adaptability.By integrating POAFC internal attraction sub-model and POAFC external connectivity sub-model,POAFC aging adaptablity model is obtained.This model can quantitatively evaluate the aging adaptability of each field on community holistic perspective,and reveals the function of promotion and restriction of the space environment factors on the aging adaptablity of POAFC.Through the construction process and parameters of POAFC aging adaptablity model,the process of POAFC aging adaptability assessment is formulated,which can realize the comprehensive,accurate and objective evaluation of POAFC aging adaptability in the case community,besides puts forward the targeted planning and design goals,criterias and strategies for POAFC aging adaptability.This study focuses on the objective environment of POAFC,and combining the related theories and frontier achievements in many disciplines,from community holistic perspective,it constructs a research framework of POAFC aging adptability from aging adptability evaluation to planning and design..On the one hand,it expands the research object of aging problem,deepens the theoretical connotation,and provides a new quantitative research method,which is lay the foundation for the formation of elderly-friendliness community planning and design theory.On the other hand,it establish a bridge between the social studies at the explanatory level and urban planning and design at the operation level,and put forward a targeted planning and design goals,guidelines and strategies,which provide a reliable basis and scientific technical support for the community's aging adaptable construction.
