Objective:Minor Decoction Of Bupleurum is a classic formula recorded in the book Shang Han Lun written by Zhang Zhong Jing.This formula is the representative formula of the Shaoyang disease.It is also the basic formula for treating the Shaoyang disease.Minor Decoction Of Bupleurum has a wide coverage of application,the formula syndromes are various and complicated.The posterity has many treatises about this formula,they have various advocates and not standardized.Besides that,in the book Shang Han Lun also recorded the various modification rules of the formula.Nowadays,the technology is advance,the research study and new explore of application of the formula also be done and has a breakthrough.The application of the formula also widely extended.Therefore,this research aims to make a conclusion about the application and modification rule of this formula by analysing the Chinese medicine literature.Through collecting the data systematically,we aim to conclude the rule of application and modification of this formula to explore a new ciinical application concept,rule out the method of modification of the formula.Methods:The design of the research is to collect the cases of applying Minor Decoction Of Bupleurum from the publication published in the past 11 years.The data are collected through internet.The data collected based on certain standard.The data include the date,the duration of the disease,the treatment duration,the herb components of the original formula,the additional herbs,the dosage,etc.The data collected for example the formula syndrome,the symptom and dosage will be analysed using various statistical method.The statistical methods include the frequency,association rule and golden segmentation rule.Through these statistical analysis,we aim to study the etiology,patho mechanism,modification rule and dosage of the formula.Results:Base on the statistical analysis,the diagnosis of cough and cold have the highest frequency.If categorized the diagnosis based on Internal medicine categorized method,the lung disease has the highest frequency among the diagnosis,followed by digestive disease,gynaecology and liver disease.The lowest frequency of the diagnosis is the andrology.The main symptoms are low appetite and bitter taste in the mouth.The main tongue diagnosis is red tongue with white or yellow tongue coating.The wiry pulse(include the combined pulse contain wiry pulse)is the main pulse diagnosis.Among the 505 cases,100 cases presented only one symptom out of Shaoyang seven main symptoms.The highest frequency of the symptoms presented is the low appetite,the lowest frequency of the symptom presented is the dizziness.The duration of the syndrome is most likely within 2 weeks or more than one year,while the treatment duration is mainly within 2 weeks,cured less than 15 dosages.The core herb components include Bupleurum,Scutellaria,Pinellia,licorice,ginseng,and main herb components are ginger and jujube.The high appetite-fullness in the chest,dryness in the throat-fullness in the chest,dryness in the throat-yellow tongue coating,dryness in the throat-light tongue,restlessness-disturbed sleep,fullness in the chest-white tongue coating,fullness in the chest-light tongue.The highest association rate of the symptom is the bitter taste in the mouth-dryness in the throat.As for the association between the herbs,the confidence between two herbs which are more than 38.2 include scutellaria-pinellia,scutellaria-licorice,scutellaria-ginseng,scutellaria-jujube,scutellaria-ginger,pinellia-ginseng,pinellia-licorice,pinellia-jujube,pinellia-genger,licorice-ginseng,licorice-jujube,licorice-ginger,ginseng-jujube,ginseng-ginger,jujube-ginger,poria-atractylodes,angelica-chuanxiong,forsythia-honeysuckle
