A Study On The Language Life Of The Kirgiz Nationality In Xinjiang

Through taking Xinjiang Kirgiz language life as the research object,this research applies sociolinguistic survey and research methods such as questionnaire survey,interview,and factor analysis to get a comprehensive understanding of the usage and existing problems of Kirgiz in the field of media,administration and justice,and education,etc.On this basis,this research analyzes various factors that have caused the above features and problems,and proposes targeted countermeasures and suggestions.The research shows the imbalanced use of Kirgiz ir different fields;although the Kirgiz has a wide range of application in the field of media,the range of its application in the field of administration and justice,as well as education has gradually shrunk.In the field of media,the application of Kirgiz in various kinds of traditional media has developed rapidly,and several media form a multi-level hierarchy consisting of municipality,city,and county.The development speed of new media is relatively slow and has a promising prospect.Apart from the relatively comprehensive levels and categories of these three traditional media(broadcast,television,and newspaper),the remote Kirgiz inhabitation still can't be covered due to the limited coverage area and the prominent phenomenon of"each fights his own battle".Various kinds of social factors have all directly influenced the condition of the audience's Kirgiz media contact.Furthermore,the regional disparity exists in the audience 's contact with broadcast,television,and newspaper,the obvious gender difference exists in terms of media selection,the obvious age difference exists in the types of media contact,and the obvious age and level of education differences exists in the purpose and evaluation of media contact.The main problem in the field of Kirgiz media is the shortage of funds and personnel.Besides,the newspapers lack of ethnic feature and have poor propagation timeliness,Kirgiz official website construction is lagging,the external publicity programs have limited range of propagation,the cultural people-benefit project is not implemented in place,and the business training lacks of pertinence,all of which are also important factors that influence the development of Kirgiz media.The government is suggested to establish pertinent training class,add children column and featured column in various media,and enhance trans-media cooperation on the basis of increasing expenditure.In the field of administration and justice,the range of application of Kirgiz is narrow,and its range of application has gradually shrunk.This trend is greatly related to the continuous improvement of Chinese level of Kirgiz people in inhabitation.The units such as state government,courts,and procuratorates all set no translation post,and several units have no professional interpreters.Besides,the problem in social language usage is also prominent.The author thinks that the insufficient supervision on the use of ethnic language,insufficient attention paid to translation work,and necessary improvement of translation levels are main factors that cause the shrunk range of application of Kirgiz in the field of administration and justice.The local government is suggested to pay due attention to cultivating translation talents,perfecting laws and regulations related to social use of Kirgiz,expanding the cooperation between justice and Kirgiz media,improving the efficiency of administration and justice department,and maintaining Kirgiz people's right of language use.In the field of education,Kirgiz language education has slowly withered in recent years.The different teaching modes of Kirgiz language in different learning periods have caused serious disconnection among different learning periods.The shortage of qualified Kirgiz language teachers and teaching materials are main factors that have restricted the development of Kirgiz language education.Besides,the currently unreasonable structure of teachers,inapplicable teaching materials,and shortage of pertinent training to Kirgiz teachers are also important factors which influence the development of Kirgiz language education.It is suggested to support Kirgiz language education both in policy and funds,improve the quality of Kirgiz language teaching staff,quicken the progress in revising teaching materials,and establish pertinent training classes of teachers' professional quality.In conclusion,despite of the differences in the features of usage and existing problems of Kirgiz language in different fields,the internal relationship still exists on the whole.At the stage of elementary education,students only learn Kirgiz language at school,and the elementary problems such as lack of using environment of Kirgiz language at social level and insufficient children column in the field of media lead to the situation that the competence of Kirgiz language of students at elementary education stage decreases continuously,which directly influences the cultivation of Kirgiz language talents in colleges and then influences the employers' recruitment of professional talents,especially in the field of media and administration and justice.Therefore,in order to ensure that Kirgiz language maintains vitality in different field,two measures should be taken:firstly,to promote Kirgiz language education at the stage of elementary education so as to provide colleges and relevant employers with sources of students and talents;secondly,to enhance the professional training of business personnel in different fields so as to improve the ideological quality and professional proficiency of business personnel.
