Study On Neolithic Archaeological Culture Around Hangzhou Bay Area

The area of Hangzhou Bay,namely the north and south of Hangzhou Bay and Qiantang River,can be further divided into three small geographical areas,that is the around Tai Lake area,the east of Cao'e River,the Puyang River basin and the upper reaches of Qiantang River.A total of 10 Neolithic archaeological cultures or types were found in this area.They are Shangshan Culture,Kuahuqiao Culture,Majiabang Culture,Luotuodun Culture,Hemudu Culture,Loujiaqiao Type,Songze Culture,Liangzhu Culture,Qianshanyang Culture,Guangfulin Culture.In Chapter 1,this article briefly explains the whole structure,chronological system,research methods and purposes of the thesis.In Chapter 2 to Chapter 4,a comprehensive chronological study of 10 archaeological cultures or types in three regions around Taihu Lake,east of Cao'e River,Puyang River basin and upper reaches of Qiantang River was carried out.In Chapter 5,the spatiotemporal framework and cultural system of Neolithic archaeological culture around Hangzhou Bay are combed.Through the horizontal comparison of archaeological cultural chronological sequences of around Taihu Lake,the east of Cao'e River,Puyang River basin and upper reaches of Qiantang River,they are unified into nine large time periods.And it can correspond with the Chahai Period,Yangshao Period,Longshan Period,"the stage of between Longshan Period and Erlitou Culture” and Erlitou Culture.And then combined with the changes of the types and shapes of the typical pottery unearthed in the nine stages,they were finally integrated into three periods,that is Pre-pottery Fu period,pottery Fu period and pottery Ding period.In addition,through the comparison of the kinship of archaeological cultural remains,two major cultural systems have been divided,that is,Majiabang Culture—Songze Culture—Liangzhu Culture—Qianshanyang Culture—Guangfulin Culture system and Shanshan Culture—Kuahuqiao Culture—Hemudu Culture system.In Chapter 6,through the analysis of the evolution pattern of archaeological culture in Hangzhou Bay region of Chahai Period,early Yangshao Period,middle Yangshao Period,late Yangshao Period to early Longshan Period and late longshan Period to early Erlitou Culture,it can be concluded that since the late stage of Majiabang culture in early Yangshao Period,the Taihu Lake cultural area has initially formed and gradually dominated the cultural outlook around Hangzhou Bay.This situation reached its peak during the Liangzhu Culture period,and at the same time,it also extended to the Jianghuai area and the eastern edge of Ningzhen,and finally stabilized in the Taihu Lake,Puyang River and the upper reaches of Qiantang River,east of Cao'e River,which compose the Huanzhou Bay area in the Qianshanyang-Guangfulin Culture stage.In Chapter 7,it is through the comparison of archaeological cultures and surrounding cultures around Hangzhou Bay to establish the corresponding relationship of the age with the local culture as the core.
