Geographical Research On Phonology In Meizhou Hakka Dialects

This article begins with the segmentation of Meizhou Hakka dialects and re-examines the phonetic features of Hakka dialects in Meizhou in the geographical point of view.The full paper is divided into six chapters:Chapter one: Overview.To introduce the geographical environment,historical evolution,the research status of Hakka dialects and the purpose of this paper.Chapter two: Meizhou Hakka dialects and phonetic systems of the representative points.Firstly,clarify the general situation of Meizhou dialects and the distribution of Hakka dialects.Secondly,combined with the study of segmentation of Hakka dialects by the predecessors to select representative points and then describe their phonetic systems.The purpose is to make an effective review on the segmentation of Meizhou Hakka dialects.On this basis,we try to roundly analyze the phonetic features of Hakka dialects by phonology,try to re-examine the segmentation of Meizhou Hakka dialects,and to explain the internal and external factors of phonetic difference from the perspective of geographic.Chapter Three.Geographical study of initials of Hakka dialects in Meizhou,firstly,clarify the pronunciation of the initials of Meizhou Hakka dialects,on this basis,to compare the different pronunciation of initials in Meizhou Hakka dialects.Secondly,analysis and explains the distribution of similarities and differences with the feature maps.Thirdly,use non-language factors to explain the distribution of differences,explore the change mechanism of language.There are two thematic studies: distribution and evolution of Jing-Zhi-Zhuang-Zhang and Xi-Xiao-Xia.Chapter four.Geographical study of finals of Hakka dialects in Meizhou.In denomination of 16 She.Firstly clarify the pronunciation of the finals of Meizhou Hakka dialects and then find out the similarities and differences of these dialects.Secondly,to show the differences by maps and explain the cause and the distribution characteristics of the difference.In order to further explore the evolution mechanism of the finals.There are two thematic studies,too: distribution and evolution of vowel and consonant ending.Chapter five.Geographical study of tones of Hakka dialects in Meizhou.Firstly comprehensive describe the tone pattern of Meizhou Hakka dialects,here includes category and pitch of tone.The second section,distribution and evolution of tone category.To compare the similarities and differences of 27 dialects and to make divide into three categories according to the difference,explain their property and show to the maps.The third section,distribution and evolution of tone pitch.Based on the discussion of the distribution Meizhou Hakka dialects' tone pattern and combined with evolutionary linguistics and experimental phonetics to research on tone pitch and tone type.We agree to regard tone as the primary criterion to dialects division and believe it can replace a single change of tone with system change to make further efforts to enhance reliability.Fourth section,distribution and evolution of ru-sheng,based on the short and different degrees hold of [-p?-t?-k] of Hakka dialects and the tone pattern which universally low Yin high Yang to explore the way of evolution of Meizhou Hakka dialects' tone.Chapter Six,conclusion,summarizes the geographical features of Meizhou Hakka dialects,and puts forward the Geographical Linguistics inspiration brought by Meizhou Hakka dialect pronunciation research.Finally,to make a further thinking of the geographical distribution and the trend of Meizhou Hakka dialect.
