Research On The Tacheng Leba Dance In The Contiguous Region Of Naxi And Tibetan

This issue use the typical case of Tacheng Leba Dance as the main reseach object,based on field investigation data and cultural traits analysis of Tacheng Leba Dance that popular in the northwest of Yunnan Province,discuss transmission and transition of Leba Dance which spread across Tibetan and Naxi.In the contiguous region between Naxi and Tibetan,the Tacheng Leba Dance is spread with distinctive Tibetan Buddhist characteristics.This paper studies the field,ceremony,interpretation of characteristics,cultural significance,communication changes and contemporary inheritance of the Tacheng Leba Dance,and then the regional characteristics of the"middle zone" in the frontier of ethnic interaction are obtained.Tacheng is located in the border area between Naxi and Tibetan,also the cultural intersection area in northwest Yunnan.As the interactive frontier of Naxi and Tibetan culture,this area has obvious characteristics of cultural diversity and has the belief basis of Tibetan Buddhism,especially the Karma Kagyu.Accompanying the custom of taboos,ritual objects,the specific relationship between human beings and gods,the system of gods,and the expression of origin in memories...together form a field in which all elements of Leba dance are involved and interacted with each other.This paper made a complete record of traditional Leba Dance that is hard to see today from video recording,dance repertoire and interviews,and also record the Leba Dance performance at the "intangible heritage" heritage point listing ceremony.The culture interpretation of the Leba Dance can be understood from costumes,props,roles,lyrics,movements etc.This paper analyzes the construction of the belief system in Leba Dance.In particular,it pays special attention to the belief characteristics of the Kagyu-Karma kagyu in Leba dance,as well as the Tantra tradition of Karma Kargyu.The distinctive belief characteristics of Tibetan Buddhism and the dance function of banishing ghosts and pursuing good luck constitute the ritual foundation of Leba Dance.In the continuity investigation to the art,it can be seen lots of common cultural characteristics among Tacheng Leba Dance and Tibetan Reba Dance,Mumba play and the whole Tibetan Buddhist dance.The continuity leads to the discussion of edge and center:Leba Dance embodies the preservation of ancient cultural characteristics on the edge of Tibetan culture circle and can be compared with Tibetan Reba Dance,Monba opera and other Tibetan Buddhist arts in terms of relevant cultural characteristics.This paper also use the "Age-area Hypothesis",analyzing the the hierarchical expression of the cultural area and the uncertainty of the cultural area core,the difficulties in judging the relationship between the distribution and cultural traits,the complexity of culture communication in the spread and change of Leba Dance.With the presence of the government,the attention of the market and the confirmation of the public,the contemporary heritage of Leba dance is faced with its own rapid changes and other difficulties.The area that Naxi adjoining to Tibetan is the interactive frontier between Tibetan and Naxi minority.The similar cultural pattern is the internal cause of the stride of Leba Dance across Tibetan and Naxi.The spread range of Leba Dance defines similar pattern of culture,and this similar culture pattern break through the ethnic culture boundary,also deeply showed the ethnic characteristics and local characteristics.In the interaction between ethnic art and cultural mode,Leba Dance continuously constructs its identity to adapt to the changes of cultural regions and complete the localization debugging.The case shows the regional characteristics of the contiguous region of Tibetan and Naxi became the "middle zone".On the basis of boundary ambiguity,The "middle zone" feature of ethnic interaction,which is characterized by cultural compatibility,diversity and integration and introversion,plays the role of harmonizing ethnic and regional relations,and retains many more ancient cultural characteristics than the central region in the long history with the regional characteristics of marginal areas,of which Leba Dance is a typical example.
