On The History Of Yan'an Literature Research (1937-1977)

Under the view of the Criticism history and the academic history of Chinese Literature on 20th Century,taking Yan'an literature and art research at the early stage,namely from 1937 to 1977,as the object of study,the relevant periodicals,anthologies,literary history,memoirs and others of various periods as the main documents and historical materials,this paper is divided into four stages to make a historical review on the situation,topic,method,characteristic and main achievements of Yan'an's literary and artistic research at the early stageThis paper believes that the study of Yan'an literature and art in the early stage is not only the historical inheritance of the May 4th New Culture Movement and the history of literary studies,but also the sustained development of literary research under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.In this process,since the period of the democratic revolution to the establishment of The People's Republic of China,the the revolutionary realism art and the new Chinese art legitimacy status is gradually established.And it is also a process aiming to transform the writer's ideas,reshape the creative atmosphere,guide the art criticism and accept the orientation so as to establish new ideas and paradigms of literature and art and complete the sinicization of Marx's literature and art theory.Therefore,the topics,standards,methods and characteristics of the study of Yan'an literature and art at the early stage can fully reflect the specific historical situation.Chapter One,this paper will take Yan'an literature and art study from 1937 to 1949 as the demonstration and establishment stage of revolutionary realism literature and art.At the same time,taking Mao Zedong's speech on Yan'an literary and art forum as the dividing line,it can be divided into two stages,former and later.Through more than ten years discussions on the author,works,ideas,forms and other issues,on the first Congress of Writers and Artists before the eve of china's foundation,it reaches a theoretical consensus on the transformation of the revolutionary literature and art dominated by Yan'an areas to new Chinese Literature and Art.Chapter two,From 1949 to 1957,the study of literature and art in Yan,an is an important part of the construction of literature and art in New China,and the direction and method it has already established before this period is the foundation of the literature and art of new china.The realism concept,methods and the corresponding new classics,the popularization of the arts and mass line,the transformation of the old literature,the old artists,the old form and other topics,have been further consolidated and risen to the national concept of literature and art,its core achievement is a batch of literature historical writings.During this periods,"speech" in Yan 'an is the core theory.Third chapter,However,with the approaching of "The Two Hundred Policy",discussions on Literature and art,politics and realism and other topics surrounding"speech",lead to the anti-rightist struggle and re-criticism activities on 1958.Some of the earlier established writers,models,and work models were questioned in varying degrees on 1966.The workers,peasants and soldiers take part in the study of literature and art,and edit the history together.The model literature and art based on the principles of revolutionary realism and revolutionary romanticism have become the main orientation and core achievement in the study and creation of new literature and art.While,the problems of the study of literature and art gradually deviated from the literary essence,Distorting and violating the principles of Mao Zedong's literary criticism,political standards and artistic standards become increasingly serious.Chapter Four,This tendency has been strengthened in the study of literature and art in Yan'an form 1966 to 1977.Sounding the political struggle and critical activities,the criticisms standards,mass line,popularity and improvement mentioned in the speech are extremely distorted.While the criticism of the literature and art on the "old" trend,model method,the amateur orientation and the collective mode have been pushed forward.The writer works are not only in a suspension situation,and their professional researches are also stagnating.To some extent,the study of literature and art in Yan'an during the period of Cultural Revolution is more destructed than constructed.Reach on the literature and art in Yan'an from 1937 to 1977,focuses on the literature and art themselves because of the materials used,breaking old theories and establish new ones,this is also the historical mission given by the times to literature and art.Therefore,despite the regrets of various periods,even obsessing in politics and a constant departure from the path of literature and art,it has completed the historical mission partly on the whole,and has become the important component of Chinese contemporary literature and art research.Its experiences and lessons also have important reference or warning function to the later research of literature and art.
