| This dissertation starting from the historic origins and context of contemporary timbre-and-sound-centered music,puts forward the specific concept of contemporary timbre-and-sound-centered music,which was brought about by the development of the twentieth century’s physical acoustics and electronic-acoustic music,and defines the notion of"contemporary timbre-and-sound-centered music".Then,it teases and cites huge amount of the examples of the ways the gestures and textures exposit,develop horizontally and vertically,including spectra,envelops,patterned textures and sound-effect textures.And it finally analyses several typical examples to elucidate the thematical functions of gestures and textures as components of the structure.Using a number of examples,from the micro details of gestures and textures’ expositions,to the middle part of gestures and textures’ developments,and in the end,to the macro structure which the music forms,this dissertation analyses,compares and concludes in layers of progressive,and tries to explore more possibilities in structures of timbre-and-sound-centered music. |
