This paper takes Chinese adjectives as the research object and examines its regular syntactic functions and special syntactic functions.While carry out relevant research on the acquisition of adjectives for foreign students,using combination of descriptive research and interpretative research,grammatical form and grammatical meaning combination as static research and dynamic research.In the process of studying adjectives,we try to grasp the dominant grammatical form,and try to use it as a breakthrough to discover the hidden reasons under the dominant expression.Under the guidance of structural linguistic theories,the adjectives in HSK(sixth level)are the main research objects at the synchronic level.Combined with the examples of BCC(语料库)and the real language material of international students,this paper tries to describe the actual use of adjectives in modern Chinese and the rules of their use,and further explains the causes of inclination on the basis of description.This paper will focus on the following aspects: common usage of adjectives,special usage of adjectives,adjective function and the acquisition of adjectives,It is divided into eight chapters,as follows:The first chapter is the introduction,which makes clear that the new HSK(Level6)requires Chinese learners to master adjectives as the research object of this paper,briefly explain the reasons for the selection of this paper topic,introduce signification of modern Chinese typical adjective study,and organize and summarize domestic and foreign research results,preliminary introduction of theoretical basis and specific research framework of this paper.The second chapter examines the use of adjectives as predicates of attributive and predicate in HSK level six vocabularies,adjectives are divided into monosyllabic adjectives and two-syllable adjectives according to the form.It also sorts out the different situations of monosyllabic and disyllabic adjectives as attributives and predicates.The third chapter examines the use of adjectives as adverbials in HSK level sixvocabularies,Firstly,the adjectives that can be used as adverbials are counted,and they are divided into monosyllabic adjectives,two-syllable adjectives and reduplicative adjectives according to the form.Then examined the semantic orientation of adjectives as adverbials.Finally,compare the situation of adjective as adverbial,attributive and complement.The fourth chapter focuses on the situation of adjectives with objects,analyses the structure of "adjective + object" from syntax and semantics analysis Finally,the paper analyzes valence of adjectives structure " adjective+object",and sums up the specific requirements of adjectives with different valences for objects.The fifth chapter examines adjective with modal complements,sums up the syntactic and semantic features of the form "form + de + modal complements",classifies modal complements form and summarize semantic features of the modal complements.The sixth chapter examines and analyzes the metamorphic function of adjectives by Yuan Yulin’s adjective distribution framework,characteristics and definitions.Induct and sum up selection and make value of adjectives characteristics,It holds that the degree of subordination of adjectives is the main expression of adjectives characteristics.It will affect the syntactic function of adjectives and the arrangement of grammatical levels.In addition,it also affects Chinese learners’ adjective acquisition in actual language use.The seventh chapter discusses some problems related to the acquisition of monosyllabic adjectives.Two pairs of adjectives(热——炎热、小气——大气)and adjective morphemes"cold冷"and"new新"were selected for study.Analyzed and summarized the distribution and errors of sense Distribution of polysemy of Monosyllabic Adjectives.The eighth chapter combines the author’s mother tongue and Arab students as an example to analyze the prone errors in the study of adjectives in Arab countries,classify the errors,The eighth chapter combines the author’s mother tongue and Arab students as an example to analyze the errors easily occurring in the learning of adjectives,,classifythe errors,and try to summarize the reasons for the errors.On this basis,this paper classifies the difficulties Chinese learners may encounter in the process of acquiring adjectives and propose relatively appropriate and possible recommendations。...
