Adjectives occupy an important place in learning the Chinese language. The biased errors of adjectives are very common in second language acquisition. Based on the Similarity Theory,This dissertation regards biased adjectives of Grade A and Grade B as the research object, finds out proportional relations of different types of similar adjectives and analyses concrete forms of their biased errors. This dissertation is comprised of four chapters. The chapter one describes the significances of topic selection, the sources of interlanguage corpus and the process of collecting and cataloguing the interlanguage corpus. The correlation studies are introduced as well. Finally, the quantity and the proportion of the biased errors are statistically anlysed. The chapter two analyses the types of biased errors holding the largest number of instances, which are adjective biased errors having the similarity both in acceptation and part of speech. From the perspective of syntax, the differences between biased error words and objective words, when collocating with verbs and nouns, whether acting as predicate and object or not,are found. Then, from the semantic standpoint, the differences between the biased error words and the objective words in semantic collocations, sense of derogatory and appreciative phrases and linguistic styles ,are found. The chapter emphasizes biased errors of the measurable adjectives. The chapter three analyses the type of biased errors which have the similarity in acceptation. From the aspect of syntax, it is found that the biased error adjectives and the objective adjectives belong to different types of part of speech, parts of speech of the objective adjectives are verbs, nouns, adverbs, pronouns and phrases, etc. From the semantic standpoint, there are a series of differences in the range of acceptation , the collocation objects, etc. The chapter four mainly describes the characteristics of several types of biased errors.Furthermore, the syntax position and the distribution of word senses are analysed and stated.
