Spirituality:The Taoist's Spiritual Essence Connects Humanity

The objective of this research is to discover the deep meaning of the term"spirituality".Reach the understanding of what is spirituality and how it works inside the human being.Once this goal is achieved;the understanding that has been obtained from the term spirituality will be used to extract the spiritual essence of?????and????.Thus,it is intended to demonstrate that the term spirituality is linked to man and his nature and not to a specific system of thought such as religion,philosophy or any science that studies it.Spirituality is the immaterial part of the self-being,the space where,each person makes an effort to: understand the importance of their relationship with other beings and the environment;give meaning to the transcendental;and get self-knowing and self-recognizing as a whole.Through this understanding,people can reach a feeling of happiness and goodness,in a sustained way,while the concentration and desire in the "I" are abandoned.Using these elements as parameters,people can measure a level of real growth of spirituality on a scale established by his or her own beliefs.Spirituality,according to this understanding,is explained through a model based on the essential principle of the duality and interdependence of the material and non-material consciousness.It contains three essential elements or dimensions that encompass all possible human relationships.The word “understanding” is crucial because an understanding leads to actions;the actions lead to consequences;and the continuous chain of good consequences leads to good relationships with everything and everybody.Good quality relationships are the key to give meaning to spirituality and find a self-growth in this direction.Once these concepts about spiritual growth are developed,the construction of the socalled “The Understanding Model of Function” is proposed using the elements and the understanding of spirituality.This model dynamically explains how happens the spiritual growth.Also shows how spirituality is influenced by each decision made in life.The model also marks spiritual growth on a valued scale.It?s purpose is to give the person a perspective of his or her own spirituality.The model is not limited to a single system of thought;it is adaptable to philosophy,religion,sociology or any science that explores human spirituality.This is how the model has been applied to the study and exploration of spirituality in the “Dao De Jing” and in the “Zhuang Zi”The model has been applied with a careful and thoughtful reading of the chapters of “Dao De Jing” and in the “Zhuang Zi”.To apply the model,the chapters have been classified according to the theme in their content.To reveal the spirituality in the three dimensions of the model: the transcendental,the importance of other beings and the development of the self.Once the chapters have been chosen and classified,they have carried out in an individual analysis and in a collective analysis revealing the mystery of each dimension.In the same way,one or more chapters have been chosen to reveal a scale of spiritual growth.This scale shows the phases of growth that a person,who uses Daoism as a guide in their life,should go up to reach spirituality.The analysis of the chapters,looking for the spiritual point of view,has been explored from several perspectives.Authors' books have been used in Chinese,English and Spanish with introductory reviews,references and commentaries on the texts of Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi.But above all the author has done a work of reflection and deep meditation in each text to give his opinion about his spiritual understanding of the readings.A review product of the author's understanding precedes each selected chapter.That is why this document contains many criteria and opinions of the author.The conclusions summarize and contribute new criteria encompassing all the understanding and also puncturing the core parts of the Daoism?s philosophy and the spirituality related to it.This work is a fresh review and contains many personal criteria that could be considered as a landing of Daoism`s philosophy in daily life for current society.More than a personal criterion,the author has tried to express feelings that arise from his meditations,giving this document a very intimate sense that is shared with much openness.The feelings generated are considered very important for the understanding of philosophy and that is why they are openly shared.The spirituality hidden in the mysticism of Lao Zi and in the deep Zhuang Zihas been revealed with great satisfaction.Important conclusions have been reached,making this document not only a complete investigation,but also very illustrative and easy to understand.That is why the author declares his great desire to the public a pleasant reading as much as he has enjoyed developing and writing this document.
