Taking the historic culture,living customs,ethnic customs,etc.of ethnic minorities as the expressing object,the ethnic minority subject matter film enriched the image space of Chinese films and reshaped the imagination of the mainstream audience towards ethnic minorities.Thus,it has become an important part of building the Chinese nation's political community,cultural community and the destiny community.In different periods,Mongolian theme films have different creation and performance focuses,but they have all played an important role in the construction of the Mongolian image.In the Mongolian theme films,the director uses the means of film to show the unique Mongolian culture and grassland style by visual expression,reveals the spread and reflection of the national culture under the unique national symbols,shapes the unique Mongolian spirit,and reflects the course of collision,change,development and integration of Mongolian culture as a member of the Chinese nation community.Through the research of Mongolian theme film,which is of multiple aesthetic and cultural attributes,based on the theories of cinematology,sociology,ethnology and communication,this paper combs the development and evolution of Mongolian theme films.cross-cultural communication connotation and effect,this study attempts to explore how the national theme film texts shape the national image,build the minority culture,reflect deep cultural connotations and find the way to break through.The study consists of the following five parts:1)The development history carding of the Mongolian theme film.The films shot after the founding of the People's Republic of China were divided into four stages,namely,the image expression of the national policies during the “17-year” period from 1949 to 1966,the artistic exploration and commercialization attempt of the Mongolian theme films in the “new era”from 1977 to 1990,the profound reflection on the national history during the “turning period”from 1990 to 2000 and the self-examination within the nationality during the “new century”after the year 2000.2)Research on the artistic image in Mongolian theme films.With the help of artistic images,the film of ethnic minorities completes the construction of minority culture.In Mongolian theme films,images of male,female and horse occupy important positions.And this study intends to analyze the unique charm of Mongolian theme films in the shaping of artistic image from these three types of artistic images.3)Research on the basic styles and aesthetic characteristics of Mongolian theme films.According to the creation types,Mongolian theme films can be divided into three types:conventional story films,close to mainstream films with ideological,artistic and commercial perfectness;legends,myths and historical films,meaning epic films with the combination of history and legend;pioneering philosophical films.Through the analysis of the basic styles,the hidden typed features of Mongolian theme films can be found.4)Research on the Identity and Construction of Mongolian Theme Films.This paper studies the identity and construction of Mongolian theme films,and discusses that the theme of realizing the Chinese nation community always exists in Mongolian theme films from four aspects: the "class identity" and its construction,the "class identity" and its construction,the "cultural reflection" and its construction,and the "Chinese nation destiny community" in Mongolian theme films.The "political community of the Chinese nation" in the "seventeen years" period and the "cultural community of the Chinese nation" in the new period have developed into the "community of the destiny of the Chinese nation" in the new century.5)Research on the creation dilemma of the Mongolian theme films and the road to break through.Through the study of the development status,the dilemma encountered in Mongolian theme films was deeply interpreted.Then this paper intended to find a way out for the development of Mongolian theme films and to provide a strategy for the development ofminority films.
