To Accept A Common Political Conception Of Justice Reasonably

Political justice is not only an issue of philosophers,in fact,what really decides It is citizens who has reason and willing.Philosophers study the principle of justice specially,but only the mass could make the final decision about It.In Rawls' early time,He put forward the conception of“a justice as fairness”,but he did not proved that whether people could accept It.And some critiques makes him notice a social fact of rational pluralism which makes the common justice of free citizens an extremely realistic significant question.If those free people in a plural society refuse any common principle of justice,Rawls' conception of justice will make no sense.And his fair well-ordered society will not be stable.So,Rawls creates the idea of an“over-lapping consensus” to prove that citizens could support a common conception of justice freely.He argues that his conception of ”a justice of fairness” could be a free-standing one which constructed autonomously by people.Therefore,citizens could get ride off their dispute of comprehensive doctrines to support It as their consensus.It is the faith of liberty which is the soul of liberalism dominates people's reasonable difference and consensus of justice.In one respect,It pursuits of the richest ideas and cultural,and in another inspect,It seeks a common principle of justice which could guide the public political practice and release Its potential.Even in a pluralistic society,those free equal citizens have many reasons to accept a common principle of political justice.The public political life need basic consensus of justice to direct the social institution and keep It's stable order.In higher levels,It could improve political activity according to It's character and inactive the mass' s creativity.It is because that politic is a practice,so people's willing about whether accept a political theory or not should be cared.In a plural society,It is easier for citizens to accept a limited conception of justice commonly.So,Rawls changes his conception of justice to be an independent political one.Politic is a public special limited sphere,and It resort to a just basis,so,a politicalconception of justice has It's owe independent character.It keeps independent and just to every citizen to provide them a fair condition to support It.And then,by providing public principles and standards of reason,Citizens' public reason could shape their common reasonable willing to make them support a most reasonable conception of public justice.The idea of the over-lapping consensus means one way to construct a free consensus of justice,and another way is to take a free equal dialogue.Besides,to pursuit of a consensus of justice is just one way to consider the issue of political justice.Some people rejects the existence of such a consensus,such as Amartya· Sen and Morphy,the former thinks that the logic of thinking justice is to compare the realistic societies,and the latter insists that the logic of thinking politic is the conflict of the power and benefit.But,there is no social conditions support people to discard a common conception of political justice,and that would not make the world better.The idea of the over-lapping consensus has suffered much critique from various of modern thoughts,though,whether a common political conception of justice should be accepted or not should be judged according to man's real life eventually.Sandel thinks that man is a role of society and they pursuit of their common good,but Rawls think that man is independent and they cooperate with each other in a free society.So Sandel disagrees with Rawls' s view of justice which thinks that human rights is prior to everything,and he rejects the over-lapping consensus.Although,people still cares some common benefits of politic which is necessary to any of them.Habermas affirms the consensus of justice,but,he does not think that political justice is independent from truth.His study of politic is not so deep and meticulous as Rawls'.Ultimately,It is man's real condition that decides how they see the politic and justice.Although all man exists independently,but they dependent on political life to pursuit of various of values.So,It is reasonably for them to keep some consensus of justice.The doctrine of over-lapping consensus contains an idea of that people deciding the principle of justice.And Rawls gives a very great interpretation for the idea of“liberty” and “justice” in the 20 th century by a new way of political liberalism.It enlightens the people in the 21 th century to think about how the man and his freedom should be in the future.Rawls' idea of justice will impact the world as greatly as the classical idea of justice in the book of The Republic did,because It changes the studyof justice and encourages citizens to decide their ideal of political justice by themself.The political philosophy after Rawls should respect citizen's willing seriously.The ideal of the over-lapping consensus has important realistic significance to the the spontaneous globe justice which should based on the free equal dialogue between different countries.The liberal society mode and It's conception of justice will not be accepted by every country.And people should innovate the mode of uniting a just society with their specializing knowledge of political philosophy to make the world progress.And China could realize a more complete fairness than the basic one by eliminating poverty and realizing common prosperity.and the government could cultivate citizen's public reason by public education and practice to lead them to fulfill the socialist core values.Finally,the socialist societies could improve It's social justice by surpassing the basic fairness.
