There has been more studies on figure paintings on the theme of the Law of the Immortals in the history of fine arts for a long time,but less attention has been paid to landscape paintings whose main themes are fairy mountains,fairy lands,praying to immortals for blessing,seeking immortals,having a meeting and a conversation with immortals and so on.So the findings are scarce,through sorting out the landscape painting works of various dynasties in the domestic museums,it is found that landscape painting works with fairy mountains,fairylands,praying to immortals for blessing,seeking immortals,having a meeting and a conversation with immortals and so on.As the main theme,they take up a considerable proportion and become a notable cultural phenomenon in art history.Therefore,it is based on the characteristics of the motif,subject matter and theme of landscape paintings,it is named " the Landscape Painting of Roaming Immortals ",and the research is carried out from the perspective of "methodology and art history methods and theories".According to the "methodology and theories of art history",this paper starts to study the Landscape Painting of Roaming Immortals from its connotation of the concept,the cultural root,the motif and image,and the collection and arrangement of landscape painting works.The author also thinks that the relationship between the thought of the Roaming Immortals and its art of landscape painting;the types of the theme of the landscape painting of Roaming Immortals;the relationship among the theme of the landscape painting of Roaming Immortals,style,artistic conception,formal language and so on."the Painting of Fairy Hills and Pavilions " as an example to explore the reasons and changes of the landscape in the landscape painting of Roaming Immortals.Through the above research,this article attempts to sort out the process of the occurrence,development,prosperity and decline of the art of the landscape painting of Roaming Immortals in the history.The author further analyzes the interrelation on the changing theme and motif,image,subject matter,style,mood,form and language of the landscape painting of Roaming Immortals.It is used as a way of looking back at the development and evolution of the history of landscape painting.The exordium discusses the research status of Chinese art history and expounds the reasons for writing of this article from a macro perspective;It also discusses the research results which were related to the study and something else,such as :the research significance,ideas,methods and feasibility of the article.From the first chapter,firstly,it discusses the research status of landscape paintings on the theme of Chinese immortals from the perspective of the art of Chinese discusses the reasons for the cultural roots of the occurrence and development of the landscape paintings of Roaming Immortals;then the writer collects and organizes the works of the landscape paintings ofRoaming Immortals which handed down from generation to generation,and sorts out the processes of their occurrence,development,rise and decline systematically.Finally,it discusses the motif Mountains and Pavilions" in previous dynasties was sorted out.According to the study,the author discusses the relationship between the evolution of the motif of "Fairy Mountains Pavilions" and the
