The extensive utilization of focal view architecture in the landscape paintings of Song Dynasty has pioneered later landscape paintings.This paper points out the important role and significance of focal view architecture in creating the artistic conception of landscape paintings in Song Dynasty.Starting from the element of focal view architecture,taking the participation of focal view architecture in creating the artistic conception of landscape paintings as the background of the discussion,this paper discusses the relationship between focal view architecture and artistic conception creation of landscape paintings in combination with the investigation of representative landscape paintings in Song DynastySystematic investigation,statistics and analysis on the quantity,category and morphological characteristics of focal view architecture in the representative landscape paintings of Song Dynasty collected by various museums,are carried out to draw relatively objective and detailed data and conclusions,among which,there are not only the grasp and cognition of the macro characteristics of the focal view architecture in Song Dynasty,but also relatively clear and accurate microscopic inspection and analysis.The relationship between landscape architecture and artistic conception creation in landscape paintings can be divided into two complementary aspects at the degree of formal language of painting ontology.One is the participation of focal view architecture in the creation of picture,space and "far-reaching" meaning;The second one is the extraction and application of architectural schemata in landscape paintings under the creation law of artistic conception in landscape paintings.The former is the function and significance of focal view architecture to artistic conception creation in landscape paintings,which is an important way to participate in creating the artistic conception as one of its elements.The latter can be regarded as the regulation and restriction of artistic conception creation in landscape paintings to focal view architecture schematic,as well as the reaction of the creation law of artistic conception in landscape paintings to the focal view architecture.On the basis of the above analysis,taking the examples of "the depressed temple","the hermitage huts","village" and "pavilion" and other focal view to participate in the creation of specific artistic conception.This paper further explores the inner relationship between"the depressed temple" and buddhist culture,"the hermitage huts","village" and the hermit culture under the influence of Lao-tzu,Chuang-tzu thought,and the "pavilion" and the Confucian concept of official hermits,as well as the resulting "mountain scenery".Cultural concept,the humanistic spirit have shaped the culture character and spiritual connotation of focal view architecture,which is the semantic source of focal view architecture and its schematic in landscape paintings.It constructs people's general cultural cognition of "the depressed temple","the hermitage huts","village" and "pavilion",and forms a cultural practices and collective experience,which will inevitably affect the creation and perceiving of the artistic conception of landscape paintings.The cultural interpretation and semantic tracing of the cultural character and spiritual connotation carried by the focal view architecture are not only to excavate and interpret the deep connotation of the specific artistic conception in landscape painting of Song Dynasty,but also actually a process for the artistic conception creation of landscape paintings to react on the cultural character,spiritual connotation and schema structure of focal view architecture and further refine,concentrate and clarify.Through the study of the relationship between focal view architecture and the artistic conception creation in landscape paintings of Song Dynasty,while in the process of re-examining and excavating the characteristics and wisdom within the landscape painting of song dynasty,it should be realized that focal view architecture is not only the intermediary and intersection point of the accumulation and intersection of humanistic spirit and natural mountains,rivers,but also the constituent element of formal language and practice ontology of painting.The relationship between focal view architecture and the artistic conception creation in landscape paintings is not the simple relationship of means and purpose,the part and the whole in the creation process,but the relationship of mutual condition,interaction and bidirectional construction between the explicit formal language and the inherent cultural character and spiritual connotation in the nourishment of Chinese culture,which highlights the cultural significance that Chinese landscape painting is different from other landscape paintings.The relationship between focal view architecture and the artistic conception creation after Song Dynasty is all about the extension and expansion on this basis.
