the introduction of the reform and opening up policy,the party's second generation of collective leadership with Deng Xiaoping as the core ope ned "a new great project of party building",which developed the theory of p arty building.When Comrade Jiang Zemin and Comrade Hu Jintao were in off ice,they focused on strengthening the party building in progressiveness,puri ty and ruling ability,adding new content for the theory and practice of the n ew great project.Under the new historical conditions,based on the new situat ion and changes at home and abroad as well as inside and outside the Party,Comrade Xi Jinping proposed the new strategy strengthening the Party's discipl ine comprehensively in the light of the new reality and requirements of party building on the basis of summing up the historical experience of building the Party.This has opened the new practice and formed the new thought in strengt hening the Party's discipline comprehensively and further advanced the theory o f party building.Since the 18 th National Congress of the CPC,Comrade Xi Jinping has c onducted a strategic deployment for strengthening the Party's discipline compre hensively in the summary conference of “the educational practice of the mass l ine” in the autumn of 2014.Theory is the guide of practice,therefore the CP C has launched a new great practice of strengthening the Party's
