Research On Neo-liberal View Of Government And The Political Security Of Our Country In Post Financial Crisis Era

A new round of financial crisis which originated from sub-prime crisis in 2007 makes people pay attention on Neo-liberal various theoretical viewpoints and policy proposals again.It is true that there are many reasons for why this economic crisis spreading throughout the world happened.However,it is undeniable that the Neo-liberal theoretical thought is one of important reasons for this crisis' s outbreak.Many people' critical spearheads that omit other Neo-liberal theoretical viewpoints only focus on Neo-liberal economic theory.However,as we all know,politics and economy are closely linked;politics is the concentrated expression of economy.When talking about Neoliberalism that is one of reasons for this crisis' s outbreak,we must not only see its economic theories,but also concern its political theories,especially its theoretical proposals related with government.Therefore,recognizing Neoliberalism again in view of government has important theoretical and practical significances.Liberalism which occupies the mainstream status in the western field of ideology has experienced three developing stages.Correspondingly,Liberal view of government also has three different forms' change,such as government of “Night Watchman” in Classical liberalism,government of “Complete Intervention” in Modern liberalism,and government of “New Night Watchman” in Neoliberalism.The theoretical proposition of Neo-liberal view of government is summed up as “small government and big society”.Specifically,Neoliberalism agrees with a weakened government which function is limited.Neoliberalism promotes that the government's function is not interference in market and society,but protection of civil freedom and rights.The operation of the market depends on spontaneous free competition.The social order depends on the developed civil society.Nozick and Hayek,Neo-liberal representatives,explained Neo-liberal view of government completely in order to certify its scientificity from two different perspectives that are political philosophy,economic philosophy.Because of some scientificity,Neo-liberal view of government has been welcomed and caused a huge impact in areas of theory and practice.The theoretical impact was that the high admiration and promotion to Neo-liberal view of government from a group of scholars.Thus,there was a strange phenomenon that “good writings make people cope them”.The practical impact was that many western leaders headed by Thatcher and Reagan promoted energetically the reform of Neoliberalism.But because of Neo-liberal view of government is that the practical development of all countries which reform depends on Neo-liberal view of government are experiencing bottlenecks and even major crises in varying degrees.The outbreak of the international financial crisis is the best proof of practice.Theoretical propositions of Neo-liberal view of government was one of the important sources of the outbreak of the international financial crisis.The first basis is that market order relies on spontaneous free competition for a long time,the government keeps away from the market,neglects market supervision.That leads to financial market chaos and finally collapses.The second basis is that the government has been weakened for a long time,and its functions are limited.It is unable to cope with the uncertainty and paroxysm of the risk society.The international financial crisis is a typical representive of this risk.However,because of its limited capacity,the government is in a panic and lack of power in dealing with risks,which makes the financial crisis more and more intense.The third basis is that the government can not interfere in society,and the social order depends on the civil society for a long time.However,the western civil society have not reached allows society to leave the government security.Many social problems can not be solved by civil society self,such as social unemployment,the citizens' ability decline in the purchasing and repay.These are exacerbating the financial crisis.Therefore,Neo-liberal view of government is a government's theory that contains scientificity and limitation at the same time.We should look at it fully and objectively,and learn experiences,absorb lessons from it.It will be of great benefit to the reform of the government system in our country.The reform of the government system is related to the overall situation of a country's political security and even the national security.The influence of Neo-liberal view of government and its induced international financial crisis has not ended because of the recovery and turnaround of the international social economy,and the world has entered the post financial crisis era.The with the reform of Russia was guided by Neoliberalism,therefore,the rebound in Russia's influence has produced certain negative influence on China's cultural security especially the security of ideology.Political security and cultural security are an important part of national security.Through the analysis of Neo-liberal view of government,we can provide a correct path for the political security construction,especially the concrete reform of the government system:“ big government” is possible,but it must be stressed that this “big” embodied in the government's abilities not powers.At the same time,through the analysis of the challenges and coping strategies that China's cultural security is facing in the post crisis era,we can point a right direction for China's construction of cultural security:adhering to "Chinese road" under the guidance of the basic principle Marx's doctrine,building the central value system of socialism,enhancing the mainstream position of socialist ideology.
