Research On The Society Of Elderly In Nomadic Areas

In the heritage of Chinese civilization history,many decision making and creative practices of aging response have bred from multi-symbiotic cultural sprite environment and social changes by every ethnic groups in China.The practices provide path thinking for the study of Chinese aging society and even for the world problem of aging.In fieldwork at Serlon township of Henan Mongol autonomous county in Qinghai province,the author finds that a cultural phenomenon is prevalent in nomadic areas:the old people living in villages move to living in the small town compact communities.Based on the field findings,the core issue of this dissertation is to explore the motivation,the social cultural framework and the adaptation and dynamic role of the elderly in small town.The society of elderly in nomadic areas is a miniature of aging society.Research the individual and community Interaction of township has the theoretical and practical significance under the background of the aging effect.The general idea of this dissertation is:firstly,through the historical evolution,the urbanization of township communities and the shaping of township communities by the migration of the elderly,to expound the formation process of the society of elderly in Serlon.It shows that the elderly in nomadic areas are the participants and witnesses of the development of township communities.The agency of elderly in the aging response and social adaptation,endowing township of nomadic areas with a unique community structure,the elderly society;Secondly,this dissertation analyzes three substructure of family structure,social interaction and local cultural social support in the social structure of the elderly;Then,from the perspective of the micro situation to the macro institutional discourse,through the analysis of institutional changes and the social adaptation of the elderly in the process of community endowment practice,building a the interactive relationship model among individuals,community and the country;Finally,the social characteristics and development trends of the elderly society obtained by the comparative study.Integrate the reality of township communities and the national rural development strategy,to analyze the future of township communities.Studies have shown that:From the perspective of the formation mechanism,Serlon elderly society is formed in the process of the old people response the changes in their roles and various life events.From the perspective of the family structure,a new inter-generational interaction involving three generations has been established on the basis of the urban-rural family structure between nomadic area’s villages and towns.From the perspective of communication mode,with the expansion of communication circle for the elderly in the township situation,the communication feature of the elderly society are that mutual help among neighbors,the multi-ethnic reciprocity and the social cohesion function.From the perspective of social support of local culture,the elderly adapt township society with the help of local culture.From the perspective of the relationship between institutional change and social adaptation of the elderly,focus on the interaction between individuals,communities and the country.In the relationship between the three,the community has the connection effect and the intermediary attribute.The new township community is constructed with the participation of the elderly.From the characteristics of the elderly society in nomadic areas,the elderly society is in the transition period which is not only necessary to understand the social structure and the elderly initiative in the scenario paradigm of micro community,but also necessary to conduct a holistic study from a macro perspective.According to the study,whatever the specific approach to construct the new communities is,the elderly has important significance and plays important role in the process.Community development needs the participation of the elderly,and the elderly also need social care and elderly care services rely on community to cope with aging.Community on the one hand,carrying the duty of guarantee elderly life,promote the old man’s degree of participation,on the other hand also shoulder the implementation of national system,ensure system adaptability and execution efficiency.The community has become a central link in the relationship among the elderly individuals,the community and the country,making the construction of a new type of livable community for the elderly has become the basic path to realize the development of township communities in the new era.
