Research On The Problems And Strategies Of Community Elderly Care Service In Lianhu District Of Xi’an

Since 2000,China has formally entered an aging society,and the population aged 60 years old and above in China has nearly 250 million people by the end of 2018,accounting for 17.9% of the national population.With the acceleration of aging process,supporting issues have been realistic,which our country must face.Because family planning policies and real-life pressure make the function of family supporting,and the expensive price and the shortage of beds also limit the elderly’s choice of institutional supporting.Therefore,community supporting that combines with the advantages of family supporting and institutional supporting is born in time,this model that the elderly not only do not leave the familiar warm home,but also can enjoy convenient and rich services become the elderly lifestyle which is the most in line with the physical and psychological needs of the elderly in China.At the same time,after the rapid development in recent years,with wide coverage,low cost and good social benefits,community supporting model has become the most suitable supporting model in the supporting service system of our country for its wide coverage,low cost and good social benefit.With the emphasis on the community elderly care mode,there are more and more related researches.However,many researches have focused on the macro level,and there is no detailed research and analysis of community elderly care in a certain area.On this basis,the paper conducts on-the-spot investigations and visits on the methods and situations of community elderly care service provision in Lianhu District of Xi’an.In addition,it obtains first-hand information on local residents’ acceptance,awareness,frequency of use,and satisfaction with community elderly care services through questionnaire surveys,and comprehensively analyzes the basic social attributes of the respondents.This paper has found that there are several problems in the community elder care service in Lianhu District at present,such as low social participation,single funding source and service effect to be improved,etc.,and has further analyzed the causes of the problems.At the same time,this paper puts forward suggestions on solving the problem of community elderly care in LianhuDistrict by applying the new public management theory and community care theory combined with the experience of elderly care services in other communities in China,which has certain significance for the improvement of the community elderly care service in Lianhu District.
