School propaganda is a typical carrier of the school’s educational concept.It reflects and constructs the school’s educational concept.This kind of construction can be conscious or unconscious,subjective and internal or objective and external.In the past,there was not much attention to the educational concept of the school.More attention was paid to the educational concept of the state and of the individual such as teachers.Different from the latter two,of which the research are mainly philosophical and psychological,the research of educational concept of school includes the educational concept in propaganda,and it also needs the intervention of sociology,history,cultural studies,communication studies,literature and art.This means that we can study educational concepts from a new perspective.The core issue of this research is to explore how school propaganda reflects and constructs the school’s educational concept,and to reflect on the role of educational theory and educational research in the expression and construction of school education concepts.Based on the analysis of two hundred and nineteen long-form propaganda reports of China Education Daily,it is found that the school’s educational concepts include the concept of running a school,the concept of education,the concept of curriculum,the concept of teaching,the concept of moral education,the concept of education,and the concept of management,the concept of scientific research,cultural views and so on.The reduction,induction and presentation of the school’s educational concept reveal that the school has different concepts from the national educational concept and the teacher’s educational concept,and reflect the prominent school-based characteristics.The school’s common educational concept can become the general education concept of the school and represent the average level of school education.The difference between this average educational concept and the ideal educational concept is that it generally makes a compromise based on reality.From the "chemical analysis" of the school’s educational concept,it is also found that institutionalized school education is too involuntary,and it has lost its publicity and sociality in many aspects.The school propaganda completed another construction of the school education concept.The school is influenced by the reality and the system,using all the concepts in circulation and following the characteristics of discourse production to construct its educational concept.The school’s educational concept is a product of various effects of convergence.School propaganda comes through the conscious convictions and conscious narratives.On the one hand,the educational concept of the school was once again constructed.On the other hand,it also reflects and reproduces the actual construction process of educational concepts in school development.The creators of the propaganda collaborated with the media gatekeeper to complete the promotional text.This is a coding process where readers need to apply similar knowledge and resources to decode the propaganda and its educational concepts.In the decoding,some meaning may be lost,and new meaning will be created.Through the structured analysis of texts,social text analysis,and literary analysis,it is possible to explore how school propaganda and its educational concepts are determined by social structure.The school thought that it was talking,and sometimes it was just being discussed.What kind of educational concept the school has is not completely autonomous.In the construction of educational concepts in schools,the holders of ideas are also invisibly constructed,demonstrating this kind of passiveness.For the school,not only the production of the text is passive,but the consumption of the text is also passive.Once the promotional text is published,it means that it can be interpreted arbitrarily.The concept of education was actually constructed for the third time.Finally,there is a discussion of the role of theory in the construction of educational concepts.The lack of publicity in school education as reflected in the educational concept disclosed above has caused the school to lose interest in educational theory.How to turn theory into a constructive force of educational concept? It is an ideal to integrate,based on the continuity of experience,the educational theory into action and to make it an action theory.For the researchers of the college,there may be a way of educational culture research,which is different from the literature research and empirical research in the self-circulation of the college system,which can enter the school life and change the educational concept of educators and schools.
