The Communist Party of China has "constantly deepened its understanding of the regularity of propagating the ideological work in practice,and has put forward a series of new ideas,new viewpoints and new judgments,which is to uphold the Party's leadership over ideological work",under such a new development condition that socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered into a new era.The Party "must consciously undertake the mission of raising the flag,gathering people's hearts,cultivating new people,developing culture and displaying images”,under the condition that the struggle in the ideological field is still complex.General Secretary Xi Jinping repeatedly stressed the extreme importance of ideological work and put forward the "mission task" in the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Party and the speech at the national propagating the ideological work conference held in August 2018.Colleges and universities bear the glorious mission tasks of "cultivating new people".As for how to put this "mission task" into the practice of Marxist ideological education of contemporary college students,colleges and universities must carry out a series of serious and in-depth theoretical research and practical exploration.The Marxist ideological education of contemporary college students involves many theories and disciplines,such as Marxist ideological theory,pedagogical theory and moral education theory.Based on Marxist ideological theory,this study systematically and deeply explores the internal relationship between the three dimensions of Marxist ideological education of the contemporary college students and the structure of Marxist ideological system.Moreover,it recognizes that the architecture of Marxist ideology determines the dimensions of Marxist ideological education for contemporary college students.Marx ideology is an organic unity of knowledge system,value system and practice system.Accordingly,Marxist ideological education has the dimensions of theoretical cognition,value identification and practice fulfillment.That is to say,Marxist ideology as a knowledge system needs to be recognized by cognitive reason,Marxist ideology as a value system needs to be recognized by value reason,and Marxist ideology as a practical system needs to be practiced by practical reason.The integrity of Marxist ideology is the organic unity of knowledge hierarchy,value system and practice system.Accordingly,the integrity of Marxist ideological education is the organic unity of cognitive dimension,value identity and practical dimension.In the practice of Marxist ideological education for college students,it must adhere to this integrity.The logical premise for researching a particular academic object is to conduct a comprehensive survey of it.In terms of research methods,this study uses empirical research and quantitative analysis methods such as questionnaire survey and on-the-spot interview.Through a questionnaire survey of more than 3000 undergraduates in Wuhan and face-to-face interviews with some college students,we have gained a lot of valuable first-hand information.Through the statistical analysis and classification of the data,we find that contemporary college students have a "convex" structure of the cognition,identification and practice of Marxist ideology.That is,cognition and practice are located at both ends and are low,and identity is located in the middle and high.The results of this analysis indicate the direction of our efforts to find the focus of ideological education for contemporary college students.From the perspective of cognitive dimension,the cognition of the contemporary college students about the Marxist ideology is in the stage of "superficial knowledge".The stage of "superficial awareness" is in the second stage of cognition.That is the intermediate stage from "have no idea" to "shallow knowledge" to "know very well".There are three obvious characteristics of "shallow knowledge".The first is the vagueness of cognition,that is,they do not grasp the theoretical knowledge of Marxism they have learned accurately and clearly;The second is that the cognition is not systematic,that is,their understanding of the Marxist theory is half-understood,and is located in the fragmented state;The third is the instability of cognition,that is,they are vulnerable to the impact of various external ideas,theories and knowledge and to transfer knowledge.From the perspective of identity dimension,the status of recognition of the contemporary college students about the Marxist ideology is better than their cognition.That is to say,their recognition level is higher than their cognitive level.But on the two levels of identity,they are in the stage of "emotional identity",and the proportion of high-level "belief identity" is low.The higher degree of "emotional identity" is mainly due to their recognition of the great achievements of socialist construction with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the guidance of Marxist ideology and the propaganda effect of the mainstream ideology.From the perspective of practice dimension,the practical ability of the contemporary college students about the Marxist ideology is low,and the level of practice is lower than the degree of recognition.The low ability of practice is mainly manifested in the separation of knowledge and action,the dislocation of behavior between virtual space and real space,and the lack of the ability to distinguish and judge western ethos.There are various factors influencing the cognition,identification,practice level and ability of contemporary college students about the Marxist ideology.However,for contemporary college students,the most important factor is the impact and the lash of Internet new media and western ethos.Contemporary college students are born and grew up in the Internet era and the new media era.They carry the distinctive labels of the mobile Internet era,the smart phone era,the big data era,the cloud era,the micro era and the visualization era.It is the responsibility of Marxist ideological workers in Colleges and universities to guide contemporary college students who live with the new Internet media day and night positively to correctly handle the impact of various information,values and ideological tendencies they are subjected to.At the same time,contemporary college students are also born and grown up in an era of open globalization.In the context of globalization and marketization mixed with various social trends of thought,the education of Marxist ideology in Colleges and universities must also focus on improving students' ability to distinguish right from wrong.Based on the new era and new tasks,it is necessary to construct a new education model of Marxist ideology for contemporary college students.As the mainstream ideology of the country,Marxist ideology is the theoretical and practical system that is most needed and with the most conditional to carry out the new education.The construction of the Marxist ideology includes constructing the "cloud teaching" model,the "micro" teaching model,the "visualization" teaching model and the refined volunteer service model.The new era,new situation,new requirements and new tasks require us to study the new situation and new problems seriously and thoroughly,and create a new situation of Marxist ideological education in Colleges and universities through innovation.
