A decade before the growing shift in radical educational theory from Marxist theories to postmodern and post-structural theories, Schooling in Capitalist America set the stage for a transitory period in Marxist educational scholarship identified as the ‘new historical revisionist’ movement (Berlowitz, 1977). |
