Equality is the basic premise for social harmony, stability and amiable operation.Education equality is an important part of social equality and an extension of social equality is found in the field of education. There are many fine points in education equality, among which are the urban and rural education equality, this is an important key component. The report from the 19 th National Congress of the made remarkable achievements in the field of education, for all. However,it should also be noted that there is still a large gap in education between the urban and rural residents of China. In 2017,the average education period for urban residents of China was 10.30 years, while the average education period of rural residents was 7.80 years.Compared with the average education period of urban and rural residents, the discrepancy was 2.50 years. The phenomenon of education inequality between the urban and rural residents is more prominent than we think. This kind of education inequality in the urban and rural areas is ultimately apparent in the form of an income gap.The pattern is embodied between the urban and rural area residents. In 2017,the average disposable income of the rural residents and situation of the urban and rural education inequality in China, this paper empirically analyzes the impact and role of urban and rural education inequality, based on the income ofurban and rural residents. This paper will explore the paths and methods to solve the problem. To better aid in the reduction of the income gap between the urban and rural areas by narrowing the education gap in urban and rural areas.Accordingly, the research content of this paper has been divided into the following sections. The first section is the introduction. It mainly focus on the research questions, clarifies inequality to the income, based on the perspective of educational return rate.Based on the micro data of China's Comprehensive Social Survey(CGSS)and the extended minster wage equation, this paper estimates the impact of the urban and rural education on the income of urban and rural residents by using the instrumental variable regression method.Verifying the gap between urban and rural residents' educational income rate.By using Oaxaca Blinder's method and Shapley's value decomposition method, this paper analyzes the educational income of urban and rural residents. The total explanatory power of education to the income gap between urban and rural residents is 32.5%.The sixth section analyzes the impact of urban and rural education inequality on the income distribution of the residents from the perspective of income distribution.By constructing the theoretical model of urban and rural education inequality and income distribution of urban and rural residents, while using
