Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.The contradiction between the people's ever-increasing needs for a better life and unbalanced and inadequate development has become the main contradiction in our society in the new era.This important judgment has had an overall,strategic,and historical impact on all aspects of the work of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.At the same time,since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Xi Jinping has delivered a series of important speeches on my country's ideological,political,cultural and artistic work,systematically and profoundly revealing the existing problems and progress on the road of building socialism with Chinese characteristics.It also clarifies the practical path to solve the problem and provides an important follow-up for all aspects of work.As a result,focusing on the field of ideological and political work,the current ideological and political work in my country faces both challenges and opportunities.On the one hand,ideological and political education is in urgent need of reform and innovation in the face of profound and complex changes in the domestic and international situation.On the basis of continuing to consolidate its ideological and theoretical nature,it must continue to enhance its affinity and pertinence.On the other hand,with the continuous expansion of people's spiritual needs in the new era,people's aesthetic needs and aesthetic abilities have also been continuously improved,and this essential need and ability of human emotions as a basis for reality is also actively reflected in Ideological and political education in various people's social practices.Based on this,the cross-border integration of ideological and political education and aesthetic art,and a new perspective of "ideological and political education aesthetics",can be said to be a new way to carry out reform and innovation of ideological and political education.That is to cut through the aesthetic and artistic perspectives,grasp the ideological and political education activities of the new era,and on the basis of adhering to the ideological and theoretical nature of ideological and political education,pay more attention to satisfying the emotional needs and aesthetic expectations of students in the process of receiving ideological and political education.Stimulate students' subjective initiative in educational practice,and give full play to the aesthetic education work,and play an important role in serving the people,serving the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and promoting the core values of socialism.This will enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education in the new era.This research is based on the rich connotations of Xi Jinping's new thoughts.Under the time and space background of the prosperity and development of advanced socialist culture,this research analyzes the challenges and opportunities faced by the current ideological and political education,and from the new perspective of ideological and political education and aesthetic education.It is an innovative move to explore how ideological and political education should meet the essential needs of human emotions,promote the overall development of people,and face the new challenges of ideological and political education reform and development in the new era.This research starts from the analysis of the concept of "the aesthetic power of ideological and political education" and the exploration of its connotation,starting with "why is the aesthetic power of ideological and political education important" ?
