and trends.The main content of this paper and the main results are as follows:Firstly,in terms of domestic and external demand to absorb the impact of the role of FDI,through the establishment of a new model of regional economic geography absorb FDI,the application of panel econometric model to estimate the impact of internal and external needs FDI location choice in China,and the country and determining equations,the application panel econometric model to estimate the impact of urbanization on the domestic and external demand,and the sample respectively and three regions of the country were estimate.The results show that:in order to measure the potential for internal and external needs of the domestic market and foreign market potential significant positive impact on the rate of urbanization,national sample estimates of the impact is greater than domestic demand and external demand,domestic demand and the impact of urbanization on the three regions is significantly positive by unbalanced regional development impact of external demand on the eastern region is significantly positive,and far more than the national average,foreign demand for Midwest negative impact of urbanization.Thirdly,domestic demand and external demand action on upgrading industrial structure,through the establishment of optimal industrial structure model,application panel econometric model to estimate the impact of internal and external needs upgrading industrial structure,respectively,for the three samples of the country and the region will be It estimated.The results show that:in order to measure the potential for internal and external needs of the domestic market and foreign market potential significant positive impact on the upgrading of industrial structure,national sample estimates are:the development of the tertiary industry,the impact is greater than domestic demand and external demand,the development of secondary industry,domestic demand is greater than the impact industry plays role in boosting foreign demand mainly from the tertiary industry development role.In summary,the main field of domestic and external demand in the transformation of economic structure in China played an important role.Overall,in the absorption of FDI,the development of the third industry,the domestic demand impact is greater than the external demand;in the city and the second industry development,external effect is greater than domestic demand.Demand effect shows different characteristics in three areas:to the east area effect is basically same with the national western results clearly show the effect of trajectory of domestic and external demand in the economic structure in the development of the industry and the influence of external demand regional imbalance,is one of the reasons of unbalanced economic structure,the positive effect of external demand in the manufacturing industry and the eastern region,forming a "crowding out effect" of Ji Disan in the
