Study On The Influence Of Urbanization On The Upgrading Of Industrial Structure From The Perspective Of "Supply Side" And "Demand Side"

Urbanization is an important way to realize the modernization of our country,and it is the power source of domestic consumption demand.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held,the government has gradually paid more attention to the development of urbanization,formulated a series of important strategies to accelerate the construction of urbanization and adopted corresponding policies and measures.The development of industrial structure is also the main content of our government's attention.In the report of the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it is also clearly pointed out that the development of urbanization is conducive to the adjustment and upgrading of our industrial structure,can provide strong power support in the whole process of upgrading the industrial structure,and then promote the healthy and sustainable development of our economy.At present,Shanxi Province is not only in the important period of industrial structure upgrading,but also the key stage of economic transformation and development and economic structure optimization.In the era of economic downward pressure and overcapacity,the unreasonable industrial structure of Shanxi Province is more prominent.In the process of industrialization,although the urbanization development of Shanxi Province has made some achievements,there are still many problems in the process of urbanization development,which has not effectively played a role in promoting the upgrading of industrial structure.This paper analyzes the mechanism of urbanization on the upgrading of industrial structure from the perspectives of "supply side" and "demand side",and discusses the effect of urbanization on the upgrading of industrial structure in Shanxi Province with the method of empirical analysis.Therefore,it is of great significance in both theoretical research and practical application.On the basis of carefully combing the domestic and foreign literature related to urbanization and industrial structure upgrading,this paper defines the concepts of supply side,demand side,urbanization and industrial structure upgrading.In thetheoretical part,it mainly explains the mechanism of urbanization on industrial structure upgrading from the perspectives of "supply side" and "demand side".From the perspective of "supply side",urbanization will have an impact on supply factors such as labor,land,technology and capital.From the perspective of "demand side",urbanization will have an impact on demand factors such as total demand and demand structure.However,the survival and development of industry are inseparable from supply and demand factors.Therefore,urbanization mainly promotes the upgrading of industrial structure from these two aspects.In the part of current situation,it analyzes the development of urbanization and industrial structure in Shanxi Province,and summarizes the current characteristics of the two,at the same time,from the perspective of "supply side" and "demand side",this paper analyzes the impact of urbanization on the upgrading of industrial structure in Shanxi Province.In the empirical part,this paper mainly uses the panel data of 11 prefecture level cities in Shanxi Province from 2000 to 2018 to build the corresponding econometric model,and analyzes the empirical results,and finds that the urbanization of Shanxi Province is conducive to promoting the upgrading of industrial structure.At last,the conclusion of the study is drawn,in view of the shortcomings of urbanization in promoting the upgrading of industrial structure in Shanxi Province,the corresponding policy suggestions are put forward from the perspective of "supply side" and "demand side".The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: first,from the aspect of theoretical analysis,based on the classical theories related to urbanization and industrial structure,this paper believes that urbanization will promote the upgrading of industrial structure from the perspectives of "supply side" and "demand side".Second,although the urbanization development of Shanxi Province has made some achievements,there are still some problems,such as the overall level of urbanization in Shanxi Province is low,the development of urbanization between internal regions is unbalanced,and the radiation leading role of central cities is not obvious.Third,the industrial structure of Shanxi province needs to be further optimized.Although Shanxi Province has changed from "two,three,one" to "three,two,one" industrial structure,there are also some problems,the development level of the primary industry is low,the growth rate is slow;the internal structure of the secondary industry is unreasonable,the proportion of light and heavy industries is out of balance;the structural problems of the tertiary industry are prominent,and the high-end service industry is insufficient.Fourthly,the urbanization of Shanxi Province has a certain role in promoting the upgrading of industrial structure,but there is still greater potential for the promotion of urbanization to the upgrading of industrial structure.From the perspective of "supply side",due to the low quality of labor force and the insignificant spillover effect of technology,urbanization has reduced the promotion of industrial structure upgrading.From the perspective of "demand side",due to the structural problems of the secondary industry and the tertiary industry in Shanxi Province,they fail to adapt to the changes of consumer demand,which also leads to the failure of urbanization to promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure.Fifthly,this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the perspective of "supply side" and "demand side",on the one hand,we should make continuous efforts from the "supply side" to give full play to the role of urbanization in promoting the upgrading of industrial structure;on the other hand,we should match from the "demand side" to achieve the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure through the adjustment of the industry itself.The innovation of this paper is as follows: first,this paper systematically analyzes the mechanism of urbanization on the upgrading of industrial structure from two new perspectives of "supply side" and "demand side",and constructs a more comprehensive theoretical analysis framework.Secondly,based on the actual situation of Shanxi Province,by collecting the relevant data of 11 prefecture level cities in Shanxi Province from 2000 to 2018,this paper comprehensively and scientifically studies the impact of urbanization on the upgrading of industrial structure in Shanxi Province,and analyzes the empirical results.
