| Tourism has boosted Zhangjiajie into a tourist city and became the dominant force in promoting regional industrial structure optimization and upgrading.With the methods of qualitative research and quantitative analysis,this dissertation presents a detailed study of tourism-promoted regional industrial structure evolution mechanism,tourism industry growth mode,the relationship between tourism growth and industrial structure evolution,the relationship between tourism development and economic growth as well as industry upgrading and comprehensive effects through literature review---theoretical interpretation(construction)---emirical analysis.All the researches are under the theoretical guidance of tourism destination life cycle,industry growth,growth pole,stakeholders and industry linkage impetus.The results showed that:(1)Tourism investment decision and its behavior are jointly determined by institutional arrangements,micro-subjects,investment decisions,investment supply capacity and profit maximization goal.Decisions determine the investment flows which further decide the direction and level of regional industrial structure evolution.Regional industrial structure evolution is shaped by regional fixed assets incremental flow,enterprise restructuring and regional industrial structure adjustment in a long term Tourism induces and inhibits other industries in the process of promoting regional industrial structure evolution.Tourism as a social need,along with tourism benefits affected by market effect and original stakeholders,acts on original industrial structure within the area,thus triggering a regional resource reconfiguration and promoting regional industrial structure evolution.(2)Tourism industry growing point is the key link of tourism industry growth.Specific historical conditions and social economic environment is a foundation for the formation of tourism growing point,demand and cultivation is the key factor of tourism growing point germination,innovation and development is the guarantee of tourism growing point growth,disintegration promotes the tourism growing point become tourism industry growing pole.Its spatial evolution is a process of continuous agglomeration of dynamic factors and expansion of new growth points to form new spatial structure.(3)There exists a close relationship between tourism growth and industrial structure evolution.Tourism growth in Zhangjiajie presents a single fluctuation.As for the growth cycle,wholesale and retail trade,catering industry,industry,finance and insurance industry and other industries are growing industries.As for the industrialstructure growth state,real estate,finance and insurance industry are declining industries;construction,wholesale and retail trade,catering industry,transportation,warehousing industry,post and telecommunications are developed industries,other services and industry are growing industries,the primary industry is a mature industry.(4)Tourism development promotes the economic growth and regional industry structure upgrading.Zhangjiajie has formed the national economy system with tourism as the pillar industry,but tourism growth elasticity coefficient is unstable and basically synchronous with tourism income growth evolvement.Tourism growth promotes industrial structure evolution upgrading in Zhangjiajie.Industrial structure upgrading coefficient,tourism industry's contribution rate to GDP,the tertiary industry development and per capita GDP grow in the same direction.(5)Tourismpromotes the industrial structure evolution.Industrial structure evolution in Zhangjiajie presents a typical tourism characteristic of social industrial structure and development.It is estimated the fastest industrial structure evolution is 7.42 from 1998-2002,followed by 2.53 from 2008-2011,2.19 from 1988-1992,1.64 from 2003-2007 and 0.32 from 1993-1997.(6)Tourism's promotion of regional industrial structure evolution has comprehensive effects.With the tourism development,Zhangjiajie national economic growth reflects different characteristics in different stages.Tourism and economic growth show distinct spatial differences but time synchronization.As for tourism urbanization response,the tourism urbanization response strength has been rising and developing periodically from 1989-2010 in Zhangjiajie;there was a positive correlation between the tourism urbanization response strength coefficient and Zhangjiajie's GDP per,per capita total social fixed assets investment per,per capita built-up urban area and city tourism development strength from a static perspective with the related coefficients of 0.9026?0.8841?0.8405 and 0.7928;from a dynamic point of view,the impact on tourist city of influential factors is shown by order of size as GDP per>per capita built-up urban area>per capita total social fixed assets investment>City tourism development strength.As for social welfare improvement,tourism development provides a source of income growth for rural and urban residents.The rich-poor gap evolution between rural and urban areas is U-shaped and there is still a wide gap between rural and urban economic growth.Tourism development constantly increases the Sen index on the whole.With the increased density of travel services,urban-rural income gap and the consumption gap has undergone a process first increased and then decreased.The main innovation points are:(1)Regional industry structure evolution mechanism promoted by tourism industry is analyzed from tourism investment decisions,tourism investment flows,inducement and inhibition of tourism industry,tourism social demand and stakeholders,thus providing a theoretical basis for the tourism-promoted regional industrial structure evolution analysis.(2)SGGT analysis model is put forward on the basis of "path dependence”to analyze tourism industry growth path.Industrial structure growth and growth state model are also constructed to analyze the industrial structure evolution mechanism of tourist destination from the micro-perspective.It points out growth cycle and industrial structure growth evolution of Zhangjiajie with the industry growth rate and status index as indicators.It designs three indexes of tourist economic growth elasticity coefficient,position coefficient and upgrading of industrial structure coefficient to reveal the change of the position of tourism development in Zhangjiajie's national economy and the evolution and characteristics of its upgrading industrial structure.(3)The comprehensive effects of regional industrial structure evolution promoted by tourism industry are analyzed from tourism-driven regional economic growth,tourism urbanization response and people's livelihood and welfare improvement.The concept of tourism urbanization response strength and its measurement formula are put forward to study the temporal-sequential evolution characteristics of Zhangjiajie tourism urbanization response and its impact mechanism.A conceptual model of people's livelihood and welfare improvement in tourism development is constructed to show the overall situation of its process and urban-rural differences. |
