Research On Marx's Theory Of Division Of Labor

Marx's theory of division of labor plays an extremely important role in both political economy,historical materialism and even the whole Marxist philosophical theory.However,it has not been given due attention for a long time.It is generally believed that Marx's philosophical revolution was completed in the Outline of Feuerbach and The German ideology.Marx constructed the theory of historical materialism on the basis of the liquidation of previous philosophical beliefs.And Capital is only the scientific application of capitalism by historical materialism.As a result,the division of labor was studied only when discussing the way of obtaining surplus value,but the important significance of division of labor theory in Marx's philosophy was ignored.In fact,the development of Marx's division of labor theory embodies the changing process of his philosophy thought.In the course of the development of Marx's thought,there were production logic and capital logic.In the past,the research of division of labor theory mainly revolved around the relationship between division of labor and productive forces and the relationship between division of labor and alienation.This paper holds that this is based on the perspective of production logic to study the division of labor theory.In fact,in Marx's thought there was a process of logical transformation,that is,the transformation from production logic to capital logic.Because if we only understand the division of labor theory from the perspective of production logic,then Marx's division of labor theory is no different from Smith's theory of division of labor.It is only in the logic of capital that Marx distinguishes the social division of labor and the workshop handicraft industry,and realizes the historical nature of the capitalist division of labor,which makes the division of labor manifest the significance of the division of labor to the capital production.Therefore only by realizing the transformation of Marx's division of labor theory from production logic to capital logic can the philosophical significance of division of labor be revealed.Marx put forward his theory of division of labor on the basis of critically inheriting the achievements of previous studies on division of labor.First of all,Marx got out of the theoretical dilemma of circular argument of alienated labor and private property through division of labor.Secondly,on the basis of the dual logic analysis of division of labor,On the one hand,Marx was linked to the division of labor and the social and historical development,and the division of labor was regarded as an intrinsic element of productive forces.On the other hand,the division of labor was understood as the synonym of private ownership,thus creating the theory of historical materialism.Thirdly,because of the emergence of the historical perspective of division of labor,from the division of production logic to the division of labor of capital logic,the function of capital multiplication of division of labor appears.Finally,Marx pointed out that the inevitable trend of capitalism to perish,on the basis of eliminating the compulsory division of labor peculiar to capitalism,we should construct a communist society and further realize the liberation of all mankind.
