| The fundamental purpose of global value chain upgrading is to enhance the position of international labor division,which in essence is to get rid of the low locked entrapment of China's industries,and realize transformation and upgrading and high-end development.The key to the global value chain upgrading is breakthrough to core technologies of the industry,and discourse right for global technology standard formulation is the core symbol of global value chain upgrading.Without grasping the core technology,standards and rules,industries will be vulnerable.The commanding heights of technology are just the tip of the iceberg,below which the innovation ecological system is the inexhaustible driving force of ascending global value chain.Based on the core concept of architectural innovation capability,this doctoral dissertation analyzed in depth the low locked entrapment of China's industries and the current trend of global science and technology development,in an effort to grasp the connotation of commanding heights of technology and relevant Chinese situation.The development mechanism and elements of enterprise architectural innovation capability are explored,and according to the leading technology route established or not,industries are divided into two categories,mature industries and new emerging industries.As to mature industries whose leading technology route has been established,this dissertation conducted an exploratory case study in the enhancement of their architectural innovation capability and the mechanism of global value chain ascending.As to new emerging industries whose leading technology route has not been established,this dissertation explored the inner micromechanism of their architectural innovation capability development,global value network expansion and ascending global value chain.With a view to enhancing enterprise architectural innovation capability,the dissertation analyzed inner requirement and strategic emphasis of different industrial development stages during the ascending of commanding heights of technology,and proposed policy suggestions for improving global value chain positions under the background of open innovation and new technology revolution.In different stages of industrial development,innovation subjects and enterprises play a different role,and there are different features and inner requirements for innovation chain,industrial chain and value chain.Therefore,the key to enhance global value chain position is to understanding general rules of new emerging industries evolution,catching different opportunity windows opened for enterprise self-innovation and revolving around the interactive law of innovation chain,industrial chain and value chain,and to devise different policy priorities for various development stages.Global value chain refers to worldwide inter-enterprise network connecting production,sales and recycling intended to realize the value of certain products or service,covering the whole process of raw material collection,transportation,intermediate and final goods production and distribution,consumption and recovery and treatment.With transnational corporations from developed countries as leaders and governors,global value chain is the inevitable outcome of economic globalization and international labor-division deepening.With the function of top design,having a strong systematic integrating power,product architectural capabilities play a more important role than module innovation for enterprises in leap-forward development and global value chain position upgrading.Scientific measurement of architectural innovation capability is fundamental to the study of its role in enhancing global value chain position.Exploratory case study of ZPMC is conducted to research the formation mechanism of the enterprise architectural innovation capability,extract its composition elements and develop scales for its measurement.Quantitative study on relations between architectural innovation capability and enhancing global value chain position is conducted.With automobile industrial as the research subject,and based on measurement of its global value chain position,this dissertation proposed 3 following hypothesis:architectural innovation capability has positive promoting effect on global value chain position enhancing;accumulative architectural innovation capability has an lagging effect global value chain position enhancing;and the higher the architectural innovation capability,and the more beneficial to global value chain position enhancing.With the 3 hypothesis being tested,3 dimensional analysis framework of "capability-time-space" is employed to analyze the architectural innovation process and capability enhancing.The ascending mechanism of "niche market-architectural innovation-new industry standard is concluded.Based on domestic demand,nurturing lead market is an important approach to the high end development of China new emerging industries.The essence of lead market formation is to construct positive feedback mechanism through architectural innovation,revealing multiplying effect of core technology innovation and chain effect of relevant industries.The ascending mechanism of "lead market-architectural innovation-industry standard is concluded.In different stages of industrial
