Abstract/Summary:
The study explored the relationship between knowledge sharing and employee performance. The study examined 1 general research question and 2 hypotheses. The data from the study were gathered from all employees from a university environment, despite gender, including administrative staff and faculty members. It is clear with imminent evidence that motivation, trust, culture, and incentives are strong indicators to enhance knowledge sharing and such variables are key motivators for knowledge sharing to enhance employee performance. The results from the study indicated that when knowledge is not transferred, it creates problems for organizations to perform, and such diffusion of knowledge is important before it is lost. It is necessary to preserve and share such knowledge across the organization. The theoretical study does create a new value for organizations by improving efficiency, effectiveness, and competitiveness through knowledge sharing across the organization, hence increasing the organization's performance and employees' performance.
