Study On Influence Mechanism About Environmental Factors On Knowledge Sharing Performance Among Project Members

With the arrival of the knowledge economy era, knowledge has become the key resource of enterprises to survive and develop, and the knowledge management has become a significant component of enterprise management. Knowledge sharing, as the core content of knowledge management, determines the level and consequent of knowledge management and can improve the organizational performance strongly. But at present, because of the influence of multiple environmental factors, knowledge sharing performances of project management organizations are not satisfying. This paper aims to influence mechanism of environmental factors on the knowledge sharing performance, for the purpose of providing the reference and consultation to project management organizations to share knowledge better and improve knowledge sharing performance continuously.Firstly, the knowledge sharing model within project management organization was constructed based on the analysis about existing knowledge sharing models and patterns, as well as considering features of knowledge sharing in project management organization. Conception and connotation for the knowledge sharing performance were both defined by analyzing the knowledge sharing performance and its current situation, major environmental factors influncing the knowledge sharing among project members were identified by literature research and expert interview, i.e. organizational structure, organizational culture, sharing platform, incentive mechanism, official support, and independence of organizational unit.Secondly, through literature research and theoretical analysis, research variables were defined, including organizational structure, organizational culture, sharing platform, incentive mechanism, official support, independence of organizational unit, and intention, capability and performance of knowledge sharing, meanwhile, corresponding measurement scales were developed, the research hypotheses were proposed,and theoretical model about influence mechanism of environmental factors on knowledge sharing performance among project members was established.Finally, data was gathered drawing up, releasing and collecting corresponding questionnaires following the method and process of empirical research. Descriptive statistical, reliability and validity test about the collected data using statistical software including SPSS17.0 and AMOS21.0 were performed, combining the processed data and constructed model, verifying the initial structural equation model, revising initial model following related requirement and method, obtaining the optimal model, then using the initial structural equation model and the optimal structural equation model to verify the theoretical hypothesis, the influence mechanism of environmental factors on the knowledge sharing performance about project members was confirmed, and the mediating effect of knowledge sharing desire and knowledge sharing capacity was verified finally, moreover, the results of empirical research were analyzed and discussed.The research results of this paper not only enrich the theory of knowledge sharing in the field of engineering construction, but also provide a reference for all kinds of engineering management organizations take effective measures to improve the knowledge sharing performance.
