Abstract/Summary:
The elimination or the minimization of the number of non-value added operations is most importance for manufacturing companies. Among these operations, deburring is very important.; To highlight the deburring problems of aeronautical parts, four strategies have been considered. They consist in the minimization, the localization, the uniformization or the elimination of burrs. It is possible to select a pertinent strategy by making the choice between the strategies, which were developed. All these strategies reduce the cost of deburring and increase the productivity.; The scientific innovation is particularly present in two developed analytical models, namely the analytical model of formation of burs (MANAFOB) and the analytical model of uniformization of burs (MANUB).; The MANAFOB model focuses in the zone of bur formation, when the displacements and the deformations of a small element in a virtual cut plan are calculated. These deformations are used to calculate the balance of virtual work by the applied forces. The analytical model predicts and minimizes the geometrical parameters of burr by the establishment of the necessary cutting conditions.; The MANUB model's has been developed to predict chamfers with the uniformization of burs by the multipurpose process. This process consists of surfacing, rolling, chamfering and uniformised deburring. It was tested simultaneously during machining by applying the elaborated special tool. MANUB is based on the equations of the energy of the shock applied by the balls (a component of the developed tool). The tests in laboratory established the validity of the analytical models and of the prototype of special milling tool.
