The present study of 188 Latinos in leadership positions in the U.S. examined the relationship between participant Demographic, Migration, Employment and Education variables and GLOBE's six leadership preferences while controlling for degree of acculturation into the U.S. culture. One key question was asked: Do Latino leaders in the U.S. score closely to the GLOBE's Latin American Cluster or Anglo Cluster? Results indicated that Latino leaders in the U.S. scored very differently. Two surveying instruments were used: sections 2 and 4 of the Alpha form of The Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness Questionnaire (GLOBE) by House et al. (2004) and the Short Acculturation Scale for Hispanics (SASH) by Mann (1987). Regression analysis, Factor Analysis, Analysis of Variance, Multiple Analysis of Variance, Correlations and t-test were conducted on the data. This study contributes to the body of knowledge of the organizational leadership literature and brings some understanding on how culture and acculturation to the dominant U.S. culture affects the Latino leadership experience.
