Abstract/Summary:
One hundred Jamaican women were surveyed as to the impact of the effects of job satisfaction and acculturation on their Quality of Life in the United States of America. Occupational status, occupational status change and length of stay were also important variables considered. While all had been professionals before immigration, eight out of 100 were now working as non-professionals. Job satisfaction and length of stay were determined to be positively correlated with Quality of Life. On the other hand, the relationships between occupational status, occupational status change, acculturation and Quality of Life were not significant.
