China’s socialist development has entered a new era,and the people have a strong desire to share the achievements of development.At the same time,their pursuit of a better life is becoming increasingly urgent.However,there are still shortcomings in the field of people’s livelihood,which restricts the people from having a higher quality of life.As the core issue in the field of people’s livelihood,employment is an important part of national governance.The quality improvement in this field is also the key to realize the high-quality transformation and development of China’s economy and society.the employment situation in recent years is not optimistic.The overall level of wage income is not high,overtime work is serious,social insurance is missing,and so on.All kinds of negative social events caused by low quality employment and frequent occurrence of COVID-19 since 2020 have brought an unnegligible impact on the labor market.This undoubtedly causes people to face continuous pressure and high risk in employment,and to physical and mental health.It also has a negative impact on physical and mental health and family life.Based on the above background,this study focuses on the interaction between employment quality and life satisfaction in China,makes an empirical analysis using the CFPS data in 2020,discusses the specific impact of six employment quality dimensions such as income,working hours,social insurance and contract signing on workers’ subjective life feelings.This study introduces the concept of job satisfaction,and discusses the action path of the explanatory variable of employment quality on life satisfaction,It was tested by stepwise regression and bootstrap method.The results show that the quality of employment is an important factor to explain the difference in life satisfaction.Among the respective variable dimensions,job promotion has the strongest explanatory power,followed by wage income,and the negative effect of prolonging working hours will weaken the positive effect provided by income increase.Among the demographic variables,age,health status and education level will significantly affect the level of life satisfaction.The quality of employment will lead to the difference of job satisfaction and further affect life satisfaction,which is a key finding of this study.The above research conclusions show that improving people’s livelihood experience in the future can be targeted from all aspects of employment quality.The government,employers and workers work together to improve labor output efficiency,improve workers’ working conditions and experience,and build a harmonious employment environment as the common goal,so as to promote the improvement of employment quality and comprehensively improve life satisfaction. |
