Abstract/Summary:
Research has shown academic integrity as a recurring issue in higher education institutions. Increased problems in this area have been linked to the proliferation of online and alternative learning environments. An inconsistency of academic integrity perceptions between online students and traditional face-to-face students exists. Academic integrity is clearly stated within the traditional classroom setting at the college, yet remains transparent in the online classroom. This action research study will assist educators to address the issue of academic integrity and discourage academic dishonesty within the online dental assisting classrooms.
