| The purpose of this study was to analyze factors related to appropriate air transport development that are needed to develop a positive tourism impact for both local communities and visiting travelers. Air transportation in the tourism industry has been changed through development of new high technologies during the last few decades.; Tourism has been among the fastest growing industries while many cities, states, and nations have focused on tourism development. Tourism development is linked with many other factors such as accommodations, attractions, activities, restaurants, etc. Transportation also has played an important role in tourism development.; When developing tourism destinations, a development plan must include advanced transportation infrastructures. There are many factors to consider in becoming a tourism attraction which creates revenues for local communities. Air transportation is a primary factor to be considered to become a tourism destination. |
