| This project used pastoral supervision to pilot the integration of leadership development in the New York off-site theological education program of United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio. A formation course consisting of sixteen class sessions and two retreats, covering two semesters, was developed and implemented. The learning experiences used theological reflection, peer supervision, ministry reflection reports, and supervisory conversations to help students look at their own leadership styles and how they might enhance them. Results of the model in ministry were evaluated by qualitative analysis. Results indicate that this is an important component in theological education. |
