Abstract/Summary:
All individuals seeking treatment are complicated and complex in their make up as human beings. Often however an individual's relationship with a God or spiritual connection is overlooked in treatment. One of the foundations of productive therapy is relational, it stands to reason that any relationship clients have with the Divine or otherworldly power would be useful in treatment. In order to express to individuals entering treatment that this part of their life is relevant and worth time a clinical procedure should be given that provides an honest query into this portion of their life. If health is improved or made better by beliefs of a spiritual nature that give support, then a procedure for assessing aspects of spirituality may very well be beneficial. The therapist should support positive coping found in these beliefs if these exist. The purpose of this project is to create such an instrument.
