Licensed professional counseling supervision has been a practice for over one hundred years to assist supervisees with becoming effective licensed therapist. Supervisee self-awareness development is an integral aspect of the supervision process that increases outcomes in multiple developmental domains. The study provided a thorough analysis of the licensed professional counseling supervision process to identify how to develop self-awareness. This research also investigated the importance of counselor self-awareness as it relates to being an effective counselor, specifically an effective multicultural competent counselor. |
