Abstract/Summary:
This study attempted to provide to the field, quantitative evidence that supports the notion that transformational leadership and ethical leader behavior significantly help explain perceived organizational performance. This research was designed as a non-experimental multivariate study, which also tested for moderation to answer the research question of how transformational leadership and ethical leader behavior moderated by organizational hierarchy help explain perceived organizational performance. This study proposed a directional relationship using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study produced evidence that transformational leadership and ethical behavior are quantitatively related to perceived organizational performance, but when tested in multiple regression models, ethical behavior's significant effect is reduced and eventually lost while transformational leadership's significance remained at the p<.001 level.
