This investigation intend to research the effect of transformational leadership behavior and leader-member exchange(LMX) on followers'organizational citizenship behavior(OCB) and performance, and whether LMX is a mediator between perceived transformational leadership behaviors and followers'OCB and performance,based on the transformational leadership theory and LMX theory. The data are gained by survey method form 210 employees and their supervisors form 10 private enterprises in east China, and the results of the study are as follows:(1) Transformational leadership is positively related to the OCB , task performance and adaptive performance of followers, and individualized consideration is the most robust predictor.(2) Transformational leadership has remarkable effect on LMX.(3) LMX has power of interpretation for the variation of OCB , task performance and adaptive performance of followers.(4) LMX can partly mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and followers'OCB and task performance.(5) LMX can fully mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and adaptive performance.(6) OCB has positive forecast on performance.(7) There is significant age difference in task performance.(8) There is significant gender and education difference in adaptive performance, male's adaptive performance is higher than female's, and employees'with bachelor degree or above is higher than those with lower degree.
